Title: Noobish question about electricals
Post by: cheelek10 on November 19, 2006, 11:06:51 PM
Hi there,

I was wondering if there is any significant difference between the engine electricals of a 92/3 FD and a 94 FD. It\'s just I have the workshop manuals for a 94 but not a 93. It\'s just I have a few issues with a hunting idle when in gear and a slight misfire when idling. So wanted to check the ECU for codes and then trouble shoot as neccessary.

Thanks.

not sure i know some old ones have 8bit ecu where as later ones have 16bit ecu when they changed im not sure, as for missfire on idle mine gurgles and pops and bangs and sounds so angry on tickover, so be greatfull you have one where u can hear a missfire lol

I had problems with idling, which was solved once i fitted a Apexi Power Fc and got it mapped, getting a Power Fc and getting it mapped can have alot of benefits even on a standard or near standard engine.  Can have it mapped for our crap fuel over here for a start :wiggle
