Had a guy wtih him who had put the engine in for him. Started talkin bout cars and my misus sadi she wanted to beable to keep up wit me and the guy said o right wots he got and i pointed 2 the rx7, he said "thought she meant u had summit fast" he then said if she put a standard Evo 3 Engine in her Colt it would pi*s all over my rx7. hhhhhhhmmmmmmmmm she now thinks hes an ass even she knows that wouldnt happen!!!
oh and on the way back over took her and she got a big flame up her bonnet :flamed

Whenever someone says "my escort,golf,civic etc is faster than your stock rx7" , i just say "yeah but you car is common as paperclips, it\'s not an rx7, it dont handle like an rx, it dont look as sporty or sleek as an rx, and it can be made to **** over your car with little work" enough said really.

man i miss my old rx7.....it had some serious mods on it.....i loved to pi55 on most cars.
audi tt\'s and porsche boxers never ever wanted to race.....it was the subaru crowd that used to try it on all the time with me........we soon showed them tho :D

I will do once i get a new job with a better wage and have got my finances in order etc.......the last fd seriously skint me unfortunately....it blew up and the running costs were unreal.....at the time i rented a house with 3 mates and had an failry ok job with ok wage, so i had nealry all my monthly wage to spend on a car, now i live with my missus and have taken a step back to get my career to where i want it to go, so as soon as i have a good amount as a disposable income, then an rx7 is certainly on hold at the moment:)

the only time a rx7 is slow is when yours running in the engine lol even then it still whips most to 60 lol

The best thing is when you tell them it\'s a 1.3L engine ;) Mine wasn\'t running great to be honest...can\'t wait till after the rebuild/porting/everything else is done and it\'s run in and tuned :3gears-rh

the meet was for the Mitsu Colt club, and it was for the misus and i just went along, most fo the guys said "nice car" and really liked it but u always get one guy dont you who thinks he knows everything and is better than everything else, i guess he thought he would turn up and have the best car there against all the other colts, until he seen there was a rx7 parked up :flamed

Superb idea! I have an Evo III with about 300bhp and to be fair in terms of pure 0-60 and 0-100 it is very fast, no way an FD with the same bhp would be able to pull off as fast, but once rolling 50+ I think the FD would be away.
yes i am i have found that i have raced a scooby before apparantly running 300 bhp and my rx7 is running around 300 bhp, i found it hard 2 keep up with him up until about 40-50 but after that it was no contest i could get past him easy.
4wd makes it damn easy to launch in comparison, not to mention the ultra short gearing on the Evo in particular. An Evo 3 also weighs the same as FD and has a very large power band.

I had an “incident” at the gym where I train. Chap pulls up in a RX8 (excuse all the RX8 owners, nothing personal) parks his car next to mine and says nice car but why don’t you get your self something faster like a RX8….That really got me peeved off
I said to him “If I did it would not be an RX8 as it is underpowered…”.to cut the story short, challenge was set.
I smoked him from traffic light like there is no Tomorrow in front of few mates from the gym.
He has never said hello to me again…

Ha Ha wot a joke! Me and a friend sold them the evo that they took the engine from for this colt! We got it dirt cheap at auction and my rex wasted the evo! :spank It was bog standard at the time to! So i don\'t see how it\'s now gonna be faster than a rex when the same engine is in a front wheel drive chassis?
The thing is dont get too big headed because we own fast cars - RX7\'s. There will always be a car faster than yours unless you own thrust SSC.

Remember this is for going around circular tracks, and not straight ones...so I really dont think you will have a problem beating that car with only 1 rotor and the suspension set up correctly!!

A stock clio 172 can do 14.6 qtr mile so the colt is really having a hard job getting the power down.:spank

must chavs/boy racers idolise rx7\'s at it the ultimate boy racer car. so to them would prob be better then a ferrari. and me, i would prefer my rex more than most ferrari\'s. although if i had the choice it would take the ferrari then sell it and buy 2 rexs and tune them to the nuts
I took mine to a rolling road day and most "boy racers" there didnt know what it was. I have to say since the f&f movies both the Supra and the Skyline would probably be their ultimate car.
The Rex is much better than the fezza I proved this constantly!
