Aren\'t they close to WGT? May as well go and see Pip if you\'re making the journey over here.

I used them on my Evo 6.5 TME and they were brilliantly knowledgable. They do their own chip programming on the Evos and RR tune stuff to be powerful but safe. Back then (4 years or so) they only really knew Evos and Scoobies, so I am not sure of their pedigree on FDs.

Perhaps not the best if \'breaking new ground\' in my experience. Additionally, they would need to have improved their communication skills considerably to make dealing with them easy.

It has taken some time to reduce the venom of the original reply to this level of restraint.

Don\'t bother.. Just take it to WGT.

My Sister has lots of work done by them on her STI and she told me once they had an Rx7 on the rollers when she was up there and they pushed it off (if you get what i mean), Seriously its not far from WGT and its not a plesent feeling to start with signing the bit of paper waving them from any Liability when they Roller your car.

There is a MASIVE diffrence in setting an Evo or STI up and an Rx7, they need to be run richer for a start and alot of people can\'t get there head round the Split ign system.

Andy is the tecky with the FD. He uses WGT for more in depth work. Nice chap, and nice outfit. They have a close relationship with WGT.

Cheers,
John

I would say your much much safer dealing with a Rotary company by far for mapping.

I have found with our Rotarys being something akin to tuning a hand grenade with the care they require.

So I have found personally that just because a company can tune a boinger successfully it is not guaranteed that they can tune a Rotary without it going BANG !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have used them in the past on my old boinger, they map to quite a high boost level... Would echo everyone else and take it to a tried and tested rotary specialist.

RC are EVO buff\'s i wouldn\'t take an FD to them. I had a mate who had a bad experiance with them but i know they have done some pretty crazy evo builds in the past. They are very good in there own feild i.e. evo\'s but i would go to WGT if your up that way makes more sense. If there happens to be any thing minor wrong with your car Pip is more likely to pic it up than RC as they arn\'t RX7 specialists.

Yep i have plenty of storys of Mates who have had problems or going to Trackdays and hes gone right out of his way to help get the Job done in very Limited time, the Guys knolage is Unbelivable.

You find its only usaly people that want to know how long there engine will last or something daft like that that, at the end of the day who could tell how long somthing like an Engine will last? all he can do is Comp test it and use his experiance to make an Educated guess hes good but he would make alot more money if he could see the Future? Then you get the People that slag him off becouse they can\'t get there heads round Pip is like a head tech who has a team of guys working for him and get upset if he does\'nt personaly fit there Oil filter?? Also you need to do what he tells you, If you get an engine rebuilt you can\'t go hammering it after 10 miles and expect to not cause problems if he tells you you need to Run it in or get an Oil change after 500miles he does it for a reason.

I like the Guy becouse i know he is a man of his word and a True Rotary Enthusast.

Rant over....

thats good to hear, if people can happily say he is good then itll influence my decision...

as i said, the whole process will cost me enough money that i want it done right
