Welcome to MRC,
The FD is the first 2 letters of the chassis number stamped on your engine bulkhead, a Gen 2 RX-7 was designated an FC and Gen1 an FB, the RX-8 is an FE.
Quite where these model codes came from l do not know
[ anyone?]
Hope this helps.
i wondererd where the fd came from

Is that right about the \'FB\'? I\'m not overly sure, isnt that what they get called now because of the FC and FD? I thought they were all SA22(C)\'s??
Could be totally wrong of course!
