Post by: Jit on November 12, 2006, 08:54:27 PM
Hello....

Im slowly being won over by these oldskool rotaries and have decided that its time i found out what theyre all about...

however, tracking down one to start as a project is seeming difficult.

does anyone have any tips on where to look? And also what i should be looking to pay!?

Any help much appreciated!

Wasn\'t somebody selling a good 1st gen last week. They are a handful if you buy the wrong one. Mine body wise and engine is great but there is still quite alot of the dreaded rust on the rear axle and the interior still needs a damn good clean. Plus electrics can be fun.

Although they can be alot of fun and im looking at making mine the daily driver by converting it to gas !

Don\'t sell the fd, if you have room buy a 1st gen as well and you will understand why people enjoy the oldskool too !

lol...look at my sig....do you think ive got the space!!!?! :) infact...ive missed a car in my sig lol!!!

Im not overly keen on the 1st gens....i would rather an RX2, RX3 or RX4....

i understand they are considerably rarer, but im willing to hold out (a bit....getting kinda impatient already!) for the right car...i dont mind a car needing a bit of attention...what i dont want is to be able to put my fist thru chassis rails....lol

I dont mind doing a bit of welding...

Also get in touch with Carl Hayward (hayward rotaries) as I know he had one or two RX3s and RX4s up a while back

Also just have a trawl through the other rotaries for sale section and there was someone selling an rx3. Also I think that ray has one for sale too.
cheers good luck with the hunt!
