Post by: Tyson007 on November 10, 2006, 07:01:23 PM
Hi

We have a friend in need in a broken down Rex.

Is the clutch hydraulic or cable?

The padel is flat to the floor!

Cheers

What type FD,FC,FB???????????

If FD then clutch is hydraulic,

Has it got enough fluid in reservoir, clutch feed is half way up so if fluid gets to low slave will suck in air and clutch pedal will be on floor.

common problems are flexi pipe from solid pipe across baulkhead to slave cylinder.Look down between ABS unit and inlet elbow.Black flexi hose normally splits.

Clutch forks are common for breaking, get under car, take gearbox undertray off and small gearbox inspection plate, all 10mm bolts.Look inside gearbox with torch to see if fork is in one piece.

Hiya

He has spoken to Gary from Rotary Art and he said that its a gear box problem as pipes and fluid is intact.

But on behalf of D1WTF a big thank you for your quick response.
