Title: Engine won\'t start! Help!
Post by: Martin on December 02, 2003, 10:57:58 PM
Ok I finally got my FD home, but it won\'t start now (after 100miles drive)! basically the engine doesn\'t turn... just a whirling noise! no movement from in the engine bay at all.. pullys doesn\'t turn etc.

I tried jump leads (thx Brian)etc... but still doesn\'t start. I called Hayward and he(Carl?) says it sounds like the starter motor is naffed.

I\'m gonna get a mobile mechanic to take a look in the morning... but just wanted you guys opinion and advice.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks
Martin

Tried bumping it? this should prove if its the starter or somthing more serious.  need some strong people though, good luck hope its somthing not too serious-i have just collected my fd from Scotland now has boost spikes, so your not alone with a few teething problems.

pushing?... I\'ll get a grease monkey to take a look... nice looking car by the way Gman;)  just dying for a GT wing to finish off perhaps?

*Free plug time*

I got my MOT from Thames Valley MOT today, travelled 45miles specially to get it... Dave Thompson.. excellent chap! anywhere else would have failed me for sure!

Glad to hear it wasnt anything big. mine still need some bushes done.

cant complain though for a 11 year old car, ther is a flat spot between the 2 turbo\'s which feels abit wierd though.
