Hi all,
Due to a change of plans I now have this package for sale, I originally brought it from RHD Japan around a year ago, have never used it since i\'ve had it, and like I say have changed my plans now so is up for sale.
Consists of a Greddy elbow with 2 injector holders, 2 x 550cc injectors (I think..maybe 850\'s but pretty sure 550\'s), and a Greddy Rebic III additional injector controller, and all the fuel lines and electrical gear to wire it all up.

The Greddy Rebic maps the injectors to an RPM/boost curve, the other option I was exploring was running the extra injectors off the existing secondaries. From what ive read this is possible with the Apexi PFC through use of resistors and a bit of settings tweaking, although I cannot provide any advice on this as dont know how to do it myself!
After first changes of plans I was considering using this for a Water injection set up, possibly using the Rebic to control them, but then my WI plans changed too :)
THIS ITEM IS NO LONGER FOR SALE, ALL PARTY\'S INVOLVED HAVE AGREED TO JOIN FORCES AND WORK ON THE PROJECT TOGETHER.
Sorry for poor pic quality of the Rebic, the three adjustable knobs are Fin Boost, On RPM, and On Boost.
So you can set what boost/rpm you want injectors to come online, and then think the fin boost will adjust the curve.
The idea with these is to provide the extra fuel when on boost, then use your ecu controlled injectors for the finer mapping as they are more user adjustable
Damn thats temptin just a bit out of my price range at the mo though.
Open to offers :)
Hi there,
How about £150??
I can go to 160 mate
Ill pay £170!
Looks like like your gonna get your 200 at this rate mate :D
Sod it I\'ll take it for 200 mate, PM me your details and I\'ll paypal the money over mate.
Al
If allstaruk pulls out for some reason I will pay you 200 for this.
Ta,
Paul.
Sold then :)
my email is andy@scuttle.plus.com , not a full member at the moment, shall have to get round to that now im starting to think about getting her back on the road.
Im at my folks house at the moment, if you drop me a mail i\'ll email you back when I get home and give you my details.

OK mate, you have second dibs at £200 :)
If i knew this a bidding war i would have payed more!!
Sp £220
Right guys, gonna lay it on the table as im not sure what way to go without doing people wrong...!
I agreed to a sale with allstaruk, but also didnt give jetpilot a chance to reply with a counter-offer...is it right to keep this item open to offers or stick to the sale I said yes to?
Mods if there is a policy on the for sale section that go either way would be happy for your input, i\'ll be more than happy to stick with original sale price agreed if there is.
Allstaruk, I dont want to mess you around mate, but it is a bit every penny counts at the moment...
awkward! :)
At the risk of being an ass im going to say these are still open for offers.
To give everyone time to make a bid and mull it over i\'ll say it will be open till 10 pm Tuesday night, best offer by then get its, final, sold.
Currently with Jetpilot if thats an offer at £220.
Apologies everyone for general incompetance, Allstar if we bump into each other at rotorstock or something I owe you a couple of beers for messing you about.
Quote from: ScuttleRXSold then :)
We\'ll clearly not then,
Quote from: jetpilotIf i knew this a bidding war i would have payed more!!

I didn\'t know it was a bidding war either I was just agreeing to pay the price advertised as I thought that was the idea of selling somthing.
In future I think if you were to sell somthing and you want the highist price it may be an idea not to put a price up for this. A
Assuming no one had suggested price\'s and I had agreed to 200 in the first post surwely the first person to reply would have got it.
A
Strictly speaking the add read "offers" around the £200 mark for the lot!
Quote from: jetpilotStrictly speaking the add read "offers" around the £200 mark for the lot!
I thought an offer of 200 would definately be classed as and offer around 200.
And stricltly speaking I though sold meant sold.
A
Guys, im going to keep hold of this for now.
Sorry for the mess up, i\'ll get a mod to delete the thread.
May be back up for sale at a later date with a fixed price, i\'ll leave the offers bit to ebay from now on. I have got another use for them now though so may keep hold of them.
If this is definately the set-up your after it would be worth checking RHD Japan on Ebay regulary as they have lots of bits and bobs like this
One other thing which is pretty redundant now, but my first thread may have been misleading these are used items just unused by me.
Dont worry bud, let Allstar have it, dont loose a sale!
Nah its ok, I have got another plan for it, and feel id be doing wrong either way, so ill take it off, sorry for wasting your time peeps, but like I say keep an eye on RHD Japan they can be a little goldmine at times
I have been PM\'ed by ScuttleRX via FDUK he has asked me to Mod this thread.
It seems to me having read the posts that being the Gentlemen you both are, it has resolved it\'s self.
From my own point of view (and not an MRC policy point)
Allstaruk has made a valid offer and that offer has been accepted, end of, as in fact it is a contract of sale ( casting my mind back to those days of study on Contract Law and yes I did pass) ( but I remember better the girls and in particular twins !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! not the rex type either ) Sorry off subject.
Anyway is this matter now settled, ScuttleRx ??
Allstaruk ??
Jetpilot ??
No worries Warthog, just seemed to get into bids, so i was making bids! Sure another will come up!
I accepted ive done wrong...feel free to knock off reputation points...:o
its not for sale anymore, but if it goes back up I will put up a fixed o.n.o price
I have to admit the reason I wasnt sure what to do is ive been in agreed sale situation (me the buyer) from a thread before, and had a higher offer take the sale. Granted it was annoying, but accepted seller was after best price.
In my defence it happens all the time in house buying...!
Jetpilot, sending you a PM.:Ladys-man
Ignore me guys, I\'m just having a bad day and this topped it off last I knew was it was coming my way then I came home from a bad day at work and saw all this a ****ed me off.
If it is still up for sale this is somthing I would really like as this is all i need to finish my car.
No hard feelings if I\'ve ****ed anyone off.
Sorry Lads
A
Im the one whose in the wrong mate, like you say hope it no hard feelings all round.
To be totally honest the interest in this item threw me a bit, and so I grabbed a decent offer forgeting other people may still want to put an offer in!
Id like to keep hold of it for now, im still toying with WI idea.
As a way of making this up I have seen quite a snazzy alternative for additonal injectors if your interested, will work out a little more though...:)
http://www.rx7club.com/showthread.php?t=590398
Out of interest guys, how were/are you all planning on running the additonal injectors, using the rebic or piggy back off the secondaries?
Was going to use the Power FC and run them of the secondaries!
Thats what I was leaning towards when I was thinking about fuelling, although id of had to got someone else to do it, I was digging up info of resisitors etc being wired in, and the need for careful splicing, and electrics definately aint my bag...:)
I was gonna run them off the secondarys too.
Sound like you three need to get together for a mini-meet in a pub or mid-point someones garage and work it all out. Necessity is the mother of all invention. Good luck lads.:Thumbs-up
Might be an idea, I\'m just annoyed that I put the bloody rats nest/solenoid rack fuel pipes etc back on today as I thought I wasn\'t gonna need to take out my primary\'s anymore to swap them to 850\'s and then I came home to find I din\'t have this and now I\'m wishing I didn\'t have to take it all out again to get to the primarys.

:Thumbsup! Cheers for the moderating John, if the other guys are ok with it you can wipe out first part of thread if you like as theres nothing for sale anymore, could leave remainder as an additonal injector discussion thread?
I think we have definately found a hole in the market, I shall keep my eyes open guys for any more AI elbows or other solutions.
I like the look of the manifold on the rx7club, one of the things that made me hesitate with the elbow (for fuel) is the distribution, there were talks of the rear rotor ending up with more (or less, I cant remember) fuel than the the front.

Sorry Al! Didnt realise you had gone to that much trouble, double apologies and 4 beers at rotorstock!
Take it your going the 4 x 850 route now?
Have moved this Thread to correct section now lads and altered the Thread name to read;
Greddy elbow with injector holders, AIC, 2 x550cc injectors, etc PROJECT.
Good luck lads this sounds interesting.:WaveBye
Quote from: ScuttleRXSorry Al! Didnt realise you had gone to that much trouble, double apologies and 4 beers at rotorstock!

I guess so i didn\'t really want to though as i fear its gonna give me a less than smooth cruise, I think i might just add some injectors into the UIM.
Dunno my lifes getting pretty busy now and i just don\'t think i have time to change them.
Al
Ive heard of that problem, but ive also spoke to a couple of people running them and they have said the cruise and idle has been mapped out so it is smooth, and they dont have any problems.
Im either going that way myself or 550/1600 route, rumours of hesitation when 1600\'s come online has put me off, but again have heard of people sort this out with some clever mapping. 1600 route would also give plenty of scope for upgrades....I just wish the 1200/1300\'s were reliable, perfect upgrade for a twin.
I really want to keep my 550 primarys, but I don\'t really want to go for 1680 secondays as its expensive and I have a complete engineering worshop and engineer at my disposal so I\'m hoping to do somthing creative.
Either build a greddy type elbow with aditional injectors like you were selling myslef of weld in some injector holders and to the UIM.
We\'ll discuss further I\'m going boxing, to chill me out after my stressfull day then I\'ll be in a good mood.
Talk in a bit
AL
Lol, your so going to be picturing me on the punch bag :)
Like the sound of the UIM idea, speak to ya later
I bid 230! :bandit :Giggle
Seriously though, its about 400 quid for 1680 kit from what I can make out. How much do you think 550 or 700 injectors, injector holders and a welding job? Ive already got a Greddy elbow and would have run them from the Apexi which can be done according to Pip. Are there any other alternatives any one has used?
Ha ha, dont start!
Guesstimates
Used injectors, around £30-£100 for pair
Injector holders, not sure,
Welding, not sure either really so not much help! but it looks a simple job, from looks of mine 2 holes have been drilled then edges filed, then holders just welded around. Im not sure what a welder charges but cant imagine it would take them long at all
Other things you\'d need are a small rail, fuel pipe and injector harness.
How much extra fuel you looking for? Theres a good calculator here if you havent come across it already
http://rx7.com/cgi-local/3rdgencalc.cgi
Lets you plug in loads of different combos including additionals

Found these, available in steel or alum, around $30 bucks a pop, quite a few sites came up when I googled \'greddy injector holder\'

Brill calc dude! Thanks. Forgot about rail, harness. Larger kit is looking not so bad value now I think.
Am looking for circa 500fly so probably 1680\'s. Dont know if that means I have to go to 850 primaries yet. Its daily driven so im striving to keep it useable.
You should be alright with 550/1680, I reckon I shall end up with that, apparently should give you a nice idle and cruise as your keeping the small primaries, there is talk of a stumble when injectors come online (partial throttle not WOT), but can be mapped out from what I hear by adjusting transistion points and things like that.
Although saying that 850 primaries wouldnt hurt if your going for 500 fly :) Just dont think it will be a necessity
Only my opinion though, fuelling seems to provide fuel for a rich debate!

It does have a nice idle and cruise now and mapping was limited by injectors, all other work is done (pump, port, single, etc...) except water injection which Im going to research right now.:Typing
Do you know of any cheaper rear rail kits than the ones on offer over here?
Well boys can I come in here!!!!!!!!!!! Slience was the reply so I will anyway.
I\'ll bid.................... No back in your box, Clayton.
Right, I\'m running 550 prime 1680 sec with a 044 fuel pump and fully upsized fuel lines ( this is important lads you need to get the fuel to the injectors so don\'t skimp -- normal lines are 6mm, uprate to 8mm/10mm.)
I have not noticed any blips on change over, but then Max Tuned it so he would have fixed any problem like that.
There has been mention of going for the 500bhp flywheel fig. I am running just under 400 at the rear wheels so I keep this side of the 500 at the fly. I WILL NOT go through that bench mark until I have the Motec fitted, the reason is there can be an issue with the Apexi pfc that it does not hold a perfect electronic timing line after 500+bhp flywheel, I don\'t know if it always happens or on which model, I am not prepared to take a chance and have held back. I was always going down the Motec Line due to the fantastic tuning results that the Aus lads get, so it was just about me being patient.
The motec,4" exhaust and some other goodies will be going on soon and then I will get what I\'m after and that is 500bhp at the rear wheels that I can use.
Anyway your views.:Ladys-man

Little thread to get your research going :)
I think 400\'s about the best you\'ll get, some American kits work out cheaper but not by the time youve shipped them over and paid customs, remember the 400 quid kits normally include a fuel pressure regulator for that price which is something you\'ll would need for additional injectors too, so add another £100 odd quid on. Unless of course you have already got one, I see youve uprated the pump (which one did you go for?)
Thanks for clearing up the stumbling issue Hog, guessing the negative reports about it are from maps that didnt address it maybe?
I never knew that about the apexi...very strange! and worrying, although not for me yet!
Shall bear in mind the fuel line comments too, that is a good point, kind of thing that could get easily over looked.
Oh and how much are Motecs going for these days, I remember configuring one on a website with all available options and got well into the 4 figures! Do look great bits of kit though.
That was the reason I didn\'t run as Rotorpop, we just ran out of time getting her fully prep\'ed to run safe. So I pulled the plug, as I said to Geff it was more important for them to get themselves sorted. He had got so many cars ready that they hadn\'t even got theres done.
I know where I\'m going with my FD ( down the shops to get some fags and beer ) and I am prepared to wait.
Sometimes it\'s about money and then sometimes it about money.:evillaugh
But I am now getting close to where I want to be for next season.
Ref the Motec, I was able to pick up the one Gary MARKS was selling it is only the M4pro but it has full lam/traction & launch contol enabled. I got it on here secondhand £750+ It will do everything I want it to do at the moment. If I need more then I will upgrade and move this one on. But I think it will do for now.
Wish I could say the same, Im close in my head as to how I want mine set-up, but in reality I havent even finished building the garage yet :D
Time to mull things over though is very handy, too easy to rush into things, often picking the easiest option, and ending up with a bit of a mish mash.
ScuttleRX.
Thanks for the link. Ive already got the FPR - does that mean I save 100 odd on the kit price? If so - Cool. Pump (and most of the other work) was done already (JD and Kerim built it) and Im not sure which one it is but if its not up to the job then it will show up at the mapping Im sure.
Warthog.
Interesting. I will look into that possible Apexi shortfall further. If it means 480 to stay safe then for now thats fine. It feels quite quick now to be honest, defo faster than I thought it would be and Im used to mental kitcars. But inj duty is hitting 96+ sometimes. It looks like 550/1680 is going to be OK if thats what your using.
And thanks for the fuel line thing. Something else to check/get done before the injectors.
I cant see why not, was it the reworx kit you were looking at for £390+vat, that includes aeromotive FPR which is listed at £125+vat.
Without the FPR should be £311 inc vat....maybe a little more if the rail kit is a bundle price

I may still move my injectors but not at the moment, one step at a time. I am a firm believer in doing mods a step at a time. I can then see the gains in bhp/ftb, lower intake/water temps, etc. It can be a pain but if something is not right after doing it at least you know what you have just done and not well it could be A,B,C,D,E,or F.

Yes - thats the best way. You have patience. A virtue I lack. :2Rolleyes
Interesting stuff, I\'d still have prefered to go down the greddy elbow with aditional injectors route but now that doens\'t look like its happening i\'m thinking.
I bet I end up going with 4x 850\'s as I have the injectors sitting here and all I need to do is take the rats nest out again and get the primary rail machined down.
I\'d prefer to go for a setup with 6 injectors to be fair though as I\'d like to keep the 550 primarys. What I was thinking was drilling the UIM and mounting 2 top feed injectors in that and changing the primarys to top feed to then getting my mate to make me a new secondary fuel rail that I can use to the run to all 4 secondary injectors with braided hose, make sense, what do you recon?
Al
Allstaruk pm to be sent.:Thumbs-up
I have no idea! But it sounds like a plan :)
Sounds interesting Al, so your 4 secondary injectors will be where original location of prim/sec\'s, and your 2 primaries will be in the UIM.
Something like this...
? (sorry tis a bit small!)
REWorx do a secondary upgrade kit, 1600\'s, fuel rail, everything for i think £375 + VAT!!
^^^ tsch keep up will ya :D or I shall copy the yank forums and plaster \'re-post\' everywhere!
Think a little more like this
(http://img54.imageshack.us/img54/6783/shinybits014mx1.jpg)
With 1 secondary fuel rail with 4 braided hoses running from it to each injector.
Al
Ah I get ya, is that the one Dragon was/is knocking out?
Yes but I plan on welding in 2 greddy injector holders as I have a spare plenum lying about then getting a freind to make the custom fuel rail set up for this.
