Hey everyone I own a montigo blue 93 Mazda RX-7 Touring Edition and used to work at Pineapple Racing (http://www.pineappleracing.com) a rotary engine performance shop. I also work with the old site owner of RotaryEngineIllustrated.com (http://www.rotaryengineillustrated.com) and we\'ve decided to bring more value to the rotary engine scene.
Anyways, now I\'m working with them on launching
free weekly how to videos, teaching rotary enthusiasts how to rebuild a rotary engine. We will be also doing some small how to increase performance videos to.

How to Install a Rotor Bearing (http://www.rotaryengineillustrated.com/rebuilding-videos/how-to-install-a-rotor-bearing-21.html)
Movie 2 - 10.10.2006 - The Basic Parts of a Rotary Engine (http://www.rotaryengineillustrated.com/rebuilding-videos/the-basic-parts-of-a-rotary-engine-17.html)
Movie 3 - 23.10.2006 - Increasing Engine Oil Pressure (http://www.rotaryengineillustrated.com/rebuilding-videos/increasing-engine-oil-pressure-12.html)
Movie 4 - 29.10.2006 - Preparing Side Housings for Resurfacing/Lapping (http://www.rotaryengineillustrated.com/rebuilding-videos/preparing-plates-for-resurfacing-la.html)
Movie 5 - 5.11.2006 - Replacing Pilot Bearing and Seal (http://www.rotaryengineillustrated.com/rebuilding-videos/replacing-pilot-bearing-seal.html)[/list]
It will be an incredible resource once there are 50+ free streaming videos, we will get there. We are looking for some input from people like you on what you\'d like to see. If you have any requests on what type of rotary engine stuff you\'d like to see on the video please post here on this forum. Please keep it related to the engine, building/performance, not suspension, welding exhausts, etc.
Hope some of you find this new resource helpful. I\'ll go ahead and post on here each time a video is released from now on to keep those you want to be updated up to speed.
Look forward to your input.
Thanks
That sounds brilliant, its great to see people helping out the rotary scene too

Awesome, muchos gracias kazisdaman!
I can\'t actually see the video. Is it supposed to appear on-screen? or am I not seeing a link somewhere? :Grrr
Yeah it is suppose to appear on screen. You might need to refresh the screen. Can u see anything, or is it just blank white screen?
You need to have adobe player, although if you can view like youtube videos, I believe its like the same software.
It appears the biggest ommision made on the few Rotary rebuild video\'s that I have seen is the removal procedure of the engine itself. There are many a good DIY mechanic out there who can rebuild an engine once it hits the bench, but sometimes gets stuck on what to remove and when to remove it to get the engine on the bench easily.
Bob
Can this be made a sticky please? :)

Are you referring to the removal of an FD engine?
I mAY be able to get a video of that, although it would be no time soon. Sometimes there are cars in the shop, which we actually pull the engines out of.

I think thats what he means.
I would also love to see the process for removing the engine!
Any specific years you guys are referring to:
I appreciate your comment on the idea that some of the engine videos are the same, and if at all possible would like to be signifcantly different and show other things that are missed out.
You mentioned the engine pulling.
Someone else mentioned Rotary Engine Porting, which we are going to do next week, showing the different types of ports and explaining them.
Anything else, if at all possible keep it related to the engine itself, pineapple racing is primarily an engine rebuilding shop not a shop that modifies cars heavily.
WE HAVED MOVED THE WEBSITE
TO:

NEWEST VIDEOS:
Freeze and Coolant Plug Modification (http://www.rebuildingrotaryengines.com/view/freeze_or_coolant_plug_modification)
Checking Side Housings (http://www.rebuildingrotaryengines.com/view/Checking_Side_Housings_Plates)
Would be nice to see wastgate porting as this is a much asked "how to" question.
