have ha mine not long and had lots of problems but in the tim i have has it have loved complety smoking other people in gtis or what not my best was some bloke in a 20 k boxter s who just could keep pase as my revs wound up in forth although was humbled by my mate with a rizla rep gsxr 1000 with 190 hp at the rear weel but he takes his life in his hands on that thing lol i was as quick as i could go coming off rounderbout and he went off as if i was parked but not alot of cars could do that to the type r rx7 am sure

The trouble I have is getting anyone to take me on. One of the most impressive things about driving an RX7 is that motorbike riders wave or nod at me!

Ive never raced bloody anything of interest. In my old mister 2 turbo, i used to love racing TT\'s and boxters. but havent had the opportunity with this car.

Reputed 440 saph cosworth (4wd I think). Owner was very suprised but complimentary at the lights after. He was going to check it was all still running properly! Then I told him the REX was still running on stock boost and injectors!! Looking forward to WI, injectors and remap. Just hope it does not upset the cars balance too much as its very good now.
Just like to add road racing is stupid and dangerous and I made it all up. ;)

I\'ve moved up from BMW 318\'s to the 320\'s now, I just love the reps and there BM\'s and vectra\'s. small fry for most of you boys & girls I know but I get a different satisfaction, they just dont expect a 35 year old car to come screaming back at them and then go past them.

I got beat by another rex the other day, and I was utterly destroyed by a nobel at a track day.
chavs in any type of car u can think of, whereva i go i have a chav up my arse or trying to overtake, wether its a civic type r or a 1.0 saxo, i dont think alot of peps round here realise wot a rx7 is. The other day was sat at the lights mindin my own busines and a 1.0 metro pulls along side me, sat there revving the **** out of his car, wheel spins lik f*k of the line so i let him go ahead then booted it past him, he must of felt lik a right tw*t lol wit all his mates in car lol, so it was a 1.0 metro with 5 peps in it, ummmm i think he stood a chance there dont u LOL no wonder it could even move!!

I had exactly the same thing happen to me! Guy in a brand new M3 was driving right up everyones ass on a dual carriageway and undertaking when ever he could. I let him passed then pulled up next to him at the next set of lights. Looked over, said something to his missus n revved his engine!
Lights changed to green, Cheerio M3!
These M3 drives must suck, there quick cars I got owned by a M3 csl the other day, I know the driver and he is damn good though.

I was cruising along one day when I saw this merc coming up on me so I put the peddle down as I was in the mood for a play , anyway after trying to shake him for a while I gave up and let him past wasn\'t happy till I saw the AMG badge on the back then it all clicked into place :D
Bikes are the only thing worth playing with , I did a CBR once but most the time I just like to try and keep up
My favourite tale is going tdown the M1 one morning a fiat coupe turbo came flying past me , I didn\'t go after him coz that would be childish anyway bit latter after we hit a bit of traffic he was behind me again , when the car in front of me pulled over he got right up my arse so I put my foot down ( 5th gear low revs ) and waved out the back window to him anyway to my shock he kept up then I hit the second turbo and the rest was a blur , I hit about 150 looked in the rear view mirror and there was just a dot that used to be a coupe , in doing this I was going too fast to come off at my exit so I slowed down to 70 to come off at the next exit , eventually he caught me up and pulled level , I looked over and blew him a kiss , his passenger was ****ing his sides the driver had a face like thunder :D
i got a race other nite with a zafira turbo i even gave him a head start! totally annialated him - he wasnt happy!!!
later on that nite i got a race with a teggy type r i did the ol miss third gear and still beat him!!
you ever get that one where your driving along normally and some people think your trying to race? then you put your foot down!!! haha

I had fun with two lads in a brand new BMW 650i, pretty quick but aweful heavy. 4th gear just melted them as I hit the 7k sweet spot. They had the roof down so I double declutched into 5th for added flame and thunder!!
And my friends 174mph+ RS4 audi chipped to 440BHP. That was closer but they are twin turbo 2.7ltrs so pretty even.

Took apart a carrera 4 a while ago. Pushed him along until his speed limiter cut in and then pulled away from him!!:) He was totally gutted!!!:) Let him over take me then i did it again and again!!:) Bikes are fun too,had a superb little blast with two crouch rockets in camberley off four sets of lights,they were on one wheel each most of the way!!:) Then a Jag tried to join in and he got given the good news as well!! Rotary Power!!!
ive only really had 2 honest races in my stock fd. A 95 scooby wrx and a R33 GTR skyline both had aftermarket exhausts but i dont know much else about them.It was as fair as can be on long straight roads from rolling start at 40mph and i bet them both in the magical never ending 3rd gear at about 100mph.
Way back i had this real fun run with the Noble...in a bit of traffic...in and out of the lanes and all that. It was all even and the guy could not believe that he did not loose me in his rear mirror and i over took him at one point. We had to slow down as there was no way we could\'ve continued with chasing each other in approching heavy traffic. The guy had a big smile on his face as we slow down and gave a big thumbs up...my mate was more pleased then i was with wankel power and got himself a single turbo in few weeks after that....
I do enjoy setting up Skybus\'s, we went to the Pod the other Sunday to see the boys. On the way there we passed one on the M1, he dropped in behind us and sat on my back end on the A45, We cleared the 60mph bit, he was still on my back end, I was in 3rd at 5000 revs. Stupid boy, foot in, high boost, 8500 revs, into 4th and up to 8500 revs, I was having fun. I had left him when I first put my foot in. I was just making a point. Into 5th and I slowed down to 110. He only went and sat on my back end again, down a cog into 4th and foot in, left him for dead again. He then sat back until he could come alongside later and showed His Royal Hoggness due respect.:eek
Era,Blitzboy and myself played tag with a Impreza on Bracknell ring road!! Poor lad didn\'t know were to look or go!! His mirrors were full of rex\'s one moment then beside then past him! We all took turns in putting him fairly n sqaurely in his rightful place!! At the back!!!!!:D

When the car is remapped I\'m looking forward to taking a pop at a mate with a tt supra, pushing just over 400bhp. Not sure if i\'ve got quite enough but its worth a pop!
theres quite a few skyline my way too... gota be careful because one of them is pushing just under 1000 bhp on normal fuel, and just over on race..... gota find out which one so I dont look like a complete fool :p

Most interesting thing i\'ve had the pleasure of p*ssing all over has to be a BMW Z3, driven by some spotty little oik (think it was daddies car). Driven like a true beemer driver (no offence if anyone has got one), he doesnt appear to know what the little stick beside the steering wheel does (the one that makes the pretty orange lights on ths side of the car flash) and cuts me up on a busy roundabout, pushing me into a joining lane that comes off of the m2. Needless to say I wasn\'t a happy bunny at this point, so i sat up his arse for a bit, overtook him nice and gently (about 70mph) gave him a cheeky little smile - which he had the audacity to return after nearly pushing me off the road.....and then left him standing. Finally backed off when i realised i was doing 140 and was about 1/3 mile away from my junction! He caught up with me eventually and wouldnt even look at me again!

ive had a lot of people trying to race me in mine. only had it two months. the ones i seem to attract the most at the moment are the carrera 4\'s......the drivers are pritty easy meat tbh. you just take a look give a cheeky smile and they try getting away but usually ends up me waving gd bye to them. the worst for it though i find is the m3 drivers. they think they are schumacher or something and that there cars are invinsable. my cars stock, apart from an hks super dragger exhaust and the rx just seems to smoke them. but i agree with you guys, i hate the fact that people think these things are just some all show no go kinda cars.....
Pulled up at a set of lights beside an M3,the passenger looked across and said my car was \'all noise and on trousers\'.. I just smiled back,the lights changed to green,even gave them a head start,then i hit the loud pedal and blasted past them,think the passenger almost sh1t himself with fright!!:)

not many big had to heads, apart from one. i\'d only had the rx for 2 weeks so was still finding its limits (and mine). the car was 100% standard, but it is black so thats worth a few bhp. i wasn\'t looking for a race, just out for a nice drive in my new car. however after leaving a village i noticed a 550 maranello in my rear mirrow. now im not going to say that i gave him a spanking, but the fact that he thought i was worthy of racing was good enugh. after a couple of country miles i turned off and he gave me a thumbs up, i was well chuffed.:Thumbs-up

my mates noble m12 (he is still bitter) and a few tvrs too, my all time fave was a poofy footballer type person in a lhd 355 spyder on THAT PRIVATE SECTION *cough* of the a45 heading towards pod, he was on my ar5e trying to push me for about 5 miles beforehand, then he pulled up alongside at about 60 and attempted to shout something at me but all he got was an earfull of screaming wastegate. :WaveBye I purposely (sp) slowed down for him but suprisingly enough poofy footballer guy who got owned :spank infornt of his mrs and wouldnt overtake me after that :D

I\'ll leave the street racing to the younger pilots ! I had my time and managed to survive to 52 to date. However I got alongside an S2000 in Oxford a few weeks ago, literally 4 days after I bought this car ( Standard 94 Type R ). His passenger lowered his window at the lights and said " nice motor how does she go ". I said " really well ". I said I used to drive an S2000 but I wanted something quicker ( slight smirk ). I said really nice motors S2000\'s but a second slower to 60 than this. He smiled and waved me on .......nice man.
Was racing yesterday in Bishopscourt NI... This lad in the S2000 was mouthing off that he\'d beat me as my first run was against a mate of mine in his 1.6mivec and i slowed down at the end as i cudnt see where i was goin and he beat my time... Left him for dirt.. He was sick!! :D
