Title: Antifreez mix??
Post by: Jono FD3 on November 02, 2006, 10:29:04 AM
I dropped the water lastnight and flushed it through with some fresh........ droped the water again then filled it up with some blue antifreez!! I put it neet in to the expantion tank to the top mark, then put best part of 4 litres in to the engine, so not quite a neet mix as there would have been some water left in the rad & heater matrix!!
Fired it up & ran it for a while befor letting it cool & check the level ( Needed a slight top up)

Basicaly is it OK to run this strong a mix of anti freez in the water system as I have just found my water leak and dont want to create anymore issues!!!

Thanks in advance guys!!

Hai Nik... The leak was so obviouse it was unbileavable!!!
When I was fitting the aftermarket sensor I unbolted the filler neck from the engine, & when I put it all back I didn\'t realise that the sensor was touching the filler neck slightly!! just enough to stop the "O" ring from sealing properly!!!!

Cheerse for your help & tips on the problem though!!
