Been reading all the post on oil pressure etc and it seem the stock one is about as much use as a chocolate teapot & as far as im aware Ive just a stock one. Unless you can read the oil pressure on the apexi? I\'ve read the instructions and cant see it anywhere, can anyone just confirm this for me.
The reason for this is i drove it last night and the needle "jumped" up when it was running cold from 0-2. I\'ve check the oil and its perfect, not running low, Did a service on it not long ago (less than a month) all was fine. I Don\'t think there is anything wrong with it. just think I\'m better off getting an aftermarket one, just to be on the safe side. esp after reading the posts :)
So basically what after-market gauge would people recommnded? As I see there is a few too pick from.
Got an Autogauge one mounted in din panel under the headunit. Dont think it really matters what you go for as any will show you the true oil pressure instead of the fluctuations of the stock gauge.
Not so worried now when the car is warm and idling, stock gauge shows just above zero but this one shows between 20 - 30psi.
It should be moving all the time when you are changing revs.
Mine tried to work when I bought the car and didn\'t.... so now I\'ve fitted Spa gauges :)
