Title: Distribution box
Post by: Tintin on October 31, 2006, 05:07:23 PM
I\'m having trouble finding what I need for some bits I want to do to the car , I want a fused distribution block that will take a 8 gauge cable in and has seperate fused connectors out but I can\'t find anything thats even close , also wants to be cigerette packet size if possible

Must be stuff out there used for kit cars and the like , any ideas ????

I\'m after something similar too. Can\'t find anything over here. There\'s a few on the Summit Racing site in the US but it seems it\'ll cost a fortune to get it over here.

Right I\'ve done some digging around and I\'ve found something suitable ( ish ) from the summit racing site , emailed the manufacters and found they have a UK supplier

The unit is a 7 way fuse block with 3 permenant feeds and 4 ignition feeds , shame theres not more constant but it will do and it will enable me to do other things with the switched supplys

The UK suppliers are - Reid\'s Rod Parts in newcastle number they gave me was 01613436015 ( thats a manchester number ) possibly could be 01913436015

I\'m going to contact them if I can find them , no website and they\'re not in yellow pages

Fingers crossed , judging by the price at Summit Racing it shoud be about £30 , failing that there was one other possibility on Summit\'s site but I didn\'t really like it , think it was from Mr. Gasket

Nice find, let me know if you get anywhere with it. Which one were you looking at by the way? The one I found on there had 7 ignition feeds but no constant lives.

I was looking at the one with 4 ignition feeds and 3 constant but thats not an issue anymore

Spoke to the UK distributor and he only does the full fuse boxes and they aint cheap any way he put me on to a guy who has supplied me with a small 8 way fuse block , unfortunatley its similar to loads of others I\'ve seen with seperate feeds but I think I\'ve sussed out a way to modify it

I\'ll let you know how I get on
