Title: Engine Rebuild
Post by: antrosser on October 30, 2006, 12:00:23 PM
Is there anyone out there willing to do a cheap engine rebuild if i deliver them the engine? I have bought the entire kit to do it, just needs the expertise ;-) - as close to gloucestershire as possible :)

Cheers guys

Have a go your self? the hardest bit is getting the Motor out and all the Pipe work etc off it. Its not Hard.

cool ok, will give it a go and see what happens. just need to find someone to do the porting and polishing. a garage is in the process of taking it out at the mo, so might get the engine back soon. scary!! lol

Dean, you\'re welcome to pop up and help with mine when it\'s finally out of the car and cleaned up ;) So far I\'ve removed the intercooler plastic pipes and discovered a broken check valve.

Hi,

Give me a call if you\'re still interested in someone doing the rebuild whilst the engine is out.

Its about 140miles (2.20hrs) to get to my place from yours but I thought I\'d at least offer you the option.

Usually charge about £1,495 for the rebuild, but as you already have the parts there would be a significant reduction off this price.

Regards

Greg

^ This is one bristol based guy who is VERY helpful (HI Dave) absolutely DO NOT REFUSE any offer of help you get from him, I would still be looking at a garage full of broken Rex if it wasn\'t for him!

Let me know if you head down to Tims anytime soon and I\'ll meet you there for a chat if you like, I have to bug him about a few things anyway.

Sorry, bit off topic. :)
