Title: Whats best in terms of BOV\'s
Post by: chrisJDM on October 29, 2006, 08:42:59 PM
Its great to have the nice noise when you come of the accelerater after booting it but im not really to bothered bout that would rather have the best performance i can out of it.  A while back i bought a GReddy Type S BOV which i thought was a good one, i had it fitted by Ross at Dragon then recently got a apexi power fc fitted and found out the BOV wasant doing its job and i was losing boost, i have played around with it and it is either faulty or a load of crap!  Ive now got the standard valve back on and its boosting alot better.  Is it best to have it recirculating or atmospheric? at the mo i only have a few mods, power fc, induction, exhaust which is prob fine for the standard valve, but in future have plans for a rebuild then in long term single turbo, will i then have to replace standard for better? is it worth replacing the standard now for something better? what do people recommend??

No bling factor but the old bailey BOV work well and you can pick them up for next to nothing if your not bothered about engine bay bling.
