Hi peeps!
hope ya can help me on this one???????? its a long question i know so i apologise....... am stupid:o
started the car up before and when i was backin out of my drive i heard i knocking noise comin from the engine bay on drivers side. i turned off the car quickly coz it sounds like that type of noise when there is a distinct lack of oil!!
i checked over everywhere and even the oil level which was full as always.
i started it again and it was still there, it seems to be coming from the rear of the engine to the left hand side(as you look at it)? it is barely heard at idle but as soon as its revved to around 2k its loud enough to hear in the car.
anyways i thought i would take it round the block to see if it disappered an it didnt but i did notice that the stock oil pressure guage does not move (used to) but the aftermarket one does?? is this normal??
also noticed quite alot of mayo lookin scuzz down the oil filler tube?? i read that this is normal for this type of crap weather condition??
any ideas or help with this freakin annoyin knock would be much appreciated:D
cheers lee
what the hell!!!!:3Confused
got up this morning with the knowledge of havin to poke aound my engine bay to see what the knock was and its gone!!!
it sounded like the type of knock that dont just disappear tho so am clueless although very happy!!:Giggle
still bugging me tho if anyone can shed any light as to what it might have been??
cheers guys
loose exhaust manifold/downpipe/turbo manifold/heatshield? or was it definately coming from \'inside\' the actual engine?

I also had a noise coming from mine from the same place. Although I havn\'t yet fixed it I believe it to be the downpipe too.

well from what i could tell it was an internal type of noise?? it just seems odd that it fixed itself over night.
gonna have to thank the rotary fairies for that i think:Thumbs-up :evillaugh
