Title: Apexi hand controller

My controller has been locked out, the company i got the car from are paying for it to be sorted so i thought i would ask if anyone who is the best place to take it or send it.  Can it be done at a rolling road centre?

You need to get hold of someone with a datalogit and FC Edit software.

I know of several people with this, including my bad self ;)

Where abouts are you??

When you say locked out what do you mean?

Does it just display the apexi logo.  Has it ever worked?  You may have the wrong controller.

Is just displays the apexi logo - it was working until the import company had to jump the car.

I am just south of cambridge, i may be having boost issues i need the controller so someone can check the settings.

Have you seen the commander working?  sounds like it\'s the wrong commander.  Whats the serial number on the power fc?  That way i can tell you what commander is correct for that ecu.  I had the same problem with a customer, same thing happened, just the apexi logo displayed, turned out it was my error and i had ordered the wrong commander :(

have not seen it working myself but it was fully fuctional last week they have assured me, my torch as bust so i cant see the ECU - where is it situated (to make sure i\'m looking in the correct place)

It\'s in the passenger footwell mate.

So, did they fit the ecu and commander?  Sounds to me as if it is the wrong one.  Who is working on the car?

They didnt fit it - it came with the car from Japan.  I\'ll have to have a look for the serial number in the morning in the light not sure what it looks like so i will need to do some searching.

No one is working on the car yet, only got it on sat i was going to take it to Nemesis Performance in Essex on Saturday.

right got it, christ its difficult to get the cover off - dont think i have put it back on properly though.

Its an Apexi Power FC - PFC FD3S2 9904-0029

Also have a knight \'somthing\' fuel \'somthing\' box in there with it - dont know what that is.

The powerFc is a bit loose in there i need to secure it a bit better.

ok mate, the correct commander for the power fc you have is a z001, have a look on the back of the commander to see what it says, there are 2 types, the x001 and the z001.

Cheers for the help - problem is there is no serial or model number on the hand controller!

Bugger!  :(  Only way is to test another one.....  or use datalogic. If you are having the ecu programmed you should really take it to a RX7 Specialist mate.
