Just bought a blitz intercooler for my fairly stock twin fd, going to do a v-mount with it rather than a front mount, any idea of a power increase or if i will experience power increase?
cheers jono
hmmm it seems no one likes you...
anyhow (and I\'m sure someone will correct me if I\'m wrong) I don\'t think merely adding a bigger intercooler will give you more power, as all you are doing is cooling the charge. Its the difference between driving on a hot day and driving on a cold day if you see what I mean?
However if you add a bigger intercooler it means that, with mapping, you can take advantage of this cooler charge and give you more power.
So my point is just adding it won\'t make a huge difference until you tell the ECU to take advantage of it, if you get my drift.
I\'m sure someone more technically minded than me will point out that I\'m wrong.
There are a few mods in the pipe line aswell mate!!!
V-Mount, Decat system, cold air induction, new clutch, HKS down pipe, Quick shift, water spray for the IC & a power FC & remap......... Any idea on loud peddle Gee Gees?? I\'m aiming for around 300 rwhp???? That should be as far as I go!! (untill the inevitable rebuild!!!)
Jono
still running stock twins? standard port? 300rwhp should be achievable but you will prob also need need larger injectors and fuel pump
Sorry, Yea, stock twins... as for ports... I dont know!!! A mate has just bought a resently rebuilt rex and his idle is dead smooth both on the clock and the sound out the exhaust...... but mine is smoothish on the taco, but sounds like a cam\'d piston engine at the back end??!!! My engine came out of another import that was being dismantled so I don\'t have any history on it!!!
