Title: My Budget RX7
Post by: blackrex on October 24, 2006, 06:50:53 PM
I’ve finally got round to taking some pictures. The car runs really well and the engine seems strong (not had it tested yet) but I have gave it some proper stick.

Cost so far:

Car £1700
Getting it through its mot £250
Servicing kit from Dragon I think was around £105
Apexi induction kit £80
RX8 chrome wheels £150 with tires (my best bargain yet)
Feed 2 bumper off jetpilot £150 ( not fitted)
Lights £125

Plans for the future full respray over the winter and then onwards and upwards really.
I think the number plate is very apt at present :Laugh
Its got the rear cubby boxes in the bank instead of the seats which is good this is my second RX the first was the same as this just in A1 condition.

sounds like a bit of a deal there?

was the engine rebuilt ?

is the body work that bad that it needs a respray? is it dull etc?

to be honest the body work is pretty rough not sure about the engine no history with it at all it is around the 60,000 mile mark but it runs sweet as a nut only time will tell it was imported last august according to the V5.

Ive been very lucky so far the wiring was a nightmare but Ive sorted that. The dash was a complete mess but Ive put a new one in now (which was fun). The best thing Im finding is that I dont mind having ago at fixing things myself because it was so cheap, on my last one I didnt want to break it so I always paid for someone else to do it.
