Title: my first rx
Post by: yamaster on October 23, 2006, 07:33:10 PM
i picked it up from carl at hayward rotary on the 14th of october. absalutaly love the car. the handeling is just brill. there is a rev limeter set a 4500rpm until the engine is run in. so still cant wait to feel the full power. its just got a full rebuild and ported with an apexi ecu. its got a re-ameiya(sp) front bumper, side skirts and rear arches, re-ameiya 2 piece rims.  im fitting a new cat back system, new filters and a BOV in the next few weeks. just finished spraying the wheels and painted the  calipers and got a full vallet. so heres some pics of it. looks mad red in the pics for somwe reason. and the four dots on the front bumper is velcro where the reg plate goes on

Looks very very clean and much better in my opinion with the wheels painted black!! Oh and I love the seats!!!
You will love it once its run in, cant beat the first time you give your rex some WOT!! BRWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARP

quick question - do the black end caps on your spoiler come off? as I am missing mine and looking for some but wasnt sure if it was removable parts.

Good colour decision on the wheels. looks much better!

You say there is a rev limiter set at 4500rpm, do you mean there is an actual mechanical/electrical device limiting the revs or you just have to fill your right foot with helium like the rest of us? Or is it done thorugh the Apexi? I f so, I had no idea it could do that...

the limiter is set throught the apexi  sounds funny as hell hitting the limeter that low in the revs
