Post by: mikeyh on October 23, 2006, 07:20:37 PM
what should the gauge be reading normaly??

should it be sitting at the zero when idling or like mine and sitting at -1.5??

ever since coming back from ampping doesnt seem as quick??
was wondering if i had boost trouble on first turbo?

on idle it should be in vacuum like yours is, I think you can tell some potential probs though from what the vacuum reading is, but its been so long since I drove the car I cant remember what normal is :)

To sum up, vacuum is normal on idle, but I cant tell you what value is normal :)

i take it the gauge taps into small pipe from bov(standard) into intake manifold?
and im sure mines was reading about -1.5 or below

Mines between 0.5 and 0.7 bar at idle if that helps?

My idle (read off commander but matches guage) is -0.550bar - if it\'s any help to you! You should have negative pressure on idle.

At idle the engine is running at vacuum so it will display negative pressure , usually if the boost is in PSI the vacuum will be in in/Hg , if the boost is BAR vacuum is mormally mm/Hg
