If i add a front mount intercooler, does this replace the radiator i.e means i can remove it? or am i totally wrong.. does an intercooler not run air instead of water lol.. gunna get slated for this but i aint got a scoobie... :WaveBye

No you still need a radiator matey :)

Intercooler cools the intake charge, only need them on turbo\'d/supercharged cars as pressurising the air increases the air temp a lot.

Radiators for the engine coolant so you need this whatever

ahh right, so if i add a front intercooler, alloy rad, alloy ast, remove bat to boot, remove aircon, then am i right in saying the airflow will be greatly increased and engine temps a be way lower and reducing the chance of detonation?

Your air temps will be a lot lower. Engine temps (coolant/radiator) will stay the same I reckon, it can be a prob with front mount intercoolers as they block off some of the air flow for the rad. Although it will still be alright, especially as you plan on uprating the rad aswell.
