Steve,

Depends on what is needed.  If you are talking all new parts then it could be around $10,000.

But if some are ok, and some need replacing then it wouldn\'t be as bad.

Obviously to do the best job possible is the way to go (don\'t skimp on things).  Also - get some porting done at the same time.

Contact someone like //www.cityperformancecentre.com - tell em Glenn sent you.

Hi Steve,

Sorry mate - looks like all my sites on the old server are down at the moment.  Damn, not having much luck lately.

I\'m very biased about the workshops here in Sydney, I have to be honest also and say that the best rotary workshop would be //www.cityperformancecentre.com - they are a little more pricey than some but they REALLY know their stuff, and have built some of the most awesome rotors around --> you get what you pay for...

67,000kms,  do you know if the engine has been rebuilt?  you got the full history of the car?

Their phone: 02 9357 6333

I would get a compression check done etc. to be sure (with a proper rotary comp. tester).

yes that would be the first thing i do b4 i get the car but for the logbooks and stuff the log boook is in japanese and the service history is in the blokes mechanics head if u know what i mean so i dont know if i can trust him... but he looks like a honest man but hey thats not enough for me when it comes to pruchasing a vehicle like this...... so anyway if i take the car to sity performance they would be able to tell me if the car has been taken car of?
sorry for all the paranoia its just im the type of person were NOTHING goes right and i mean it but tahts not gonna stop me from gettin a car like this....

p.s thanx for ur help

Steve,

You could certainly take the car to them to have it checked over - better to be safe then sorry.

Call them tomorrow and ask to speak to Alessio, tell him what you want done etc.  they should be able to help you out.

When it comes to the engines in these things, if the car has been left completely standard (no sports exhaust etc), and if it has had regular oil changes/services etc. then it should be good for 100,000kms before the engine needs looking at.

A comp. check should help work out how tired the engine is - along with a general look over - brakes/suspension/clutch/gearbox etc. etc.
