I\'ve googled and searched and all that, and also looked at the install manual for the Profec, and have the following question:
In the manual for the Profec B, it shows the top side of the actuator being capped, and the bottom side is fed via the boost controller solenoid valve to the boost source.
There appears to be some other schools of thought about either leaving one of the actuator ports to atmosphere - not capping it, and an other thread hinted at using the other actuator port so that faster spool up, and more precise operation of the wastegate flapper valve could be achieved. It seems boost pressure is sent to both sides of the actuator some how ? :3Confused
Anyone now how this is done - where and how do you plumb a dual port actuator for internal wastegage so that both ports are used, with an electronic boost controller ?
read the manual it does explain how it works. trust me
Read it again, vaguely getting the idea of how it works, but I really want to find some info on the method that uses both ports. Something to do with holding it shut till much closer to the desired boost setting, then letting it go. I know the Profec can do this with the control it has, but relying on only one side of the diaphragm, can it be as efficient or responsive ?
Also, if the other line is capped off, then won\'t it be working against pressure / vacuum as the diaphragm is moved ?
