Title: Wheel sizes????
Post by: Jono FD3 on October 11, 2006, 02:39:53 PM
A mate is looking at ordering a set of 18" rims for his rex (FD) what size  should he get???

I was thinking: 18" x 8j for the front and 18" x 9j for the rear but what offset.... +50mm for both front & rear or should they be different offset front & rear aswell???

He\'s running a small single turbo setup aswell so it\'s suposed to be pushing around 330 @ wheels according to the guy who imported it for him (he only picked it up lastnight!!!)

Thanks
Jono

i\'d say 8" is too narrow. go for 8.5" front and 9 or 9.5 back, with 225 and 255 tyres at least.  my offset is +35 i think and because the car is so low i had to get the arches rolled but they are filled really nicely.

yep-def 35 although i don\'t know if this is the optimum offset. looks a lot better than standard though!
