Title: Where is my boost
Post by: J4P RX on November 26, 2003, 11:17:09 PM
Twice this week I have been driving along and just lost my boost.  Well ok not all of it, but it starts only going to 0.5 bar and thus feels pathetic.

The strange thing is its not actually done anything funny, or lost the boost whilst I am in the middle of using.  It just there and then at some point its not there.  I have noticed that turning it off and back on seems to solve the problem.

Im thinking maybe im hitting some kind of fuel cut which is knocking back the boost, but I dont understand why its doing it now.  Both times its happened are after its been driven for a bit, left and then gone back to whilst still hot if it means anything.

Cheers
Lee

Hi there

I have a similar problem. It happens to me on long trips. As you say, switch off and on again, and the primary boost comes back. Have not had a look at the problem yet, but I have an idea which little hose is to blame on my car.

I also have a spare ECU which I have not tried yet.
