Title: Gauges!!!
Post by: RemarkLima on September 26, 2006, 12:43:23 PM
Hi all,

In the first few steps to getting the car track worthy, I need some gauages...

First off, wheres the best place to get the centre cowl gauage pod, behind the steering wheel? And any recommendations for a boost gauage, going to try and keep everything looking the same, so black face with red needles... Saw some VDO one\'s which looked rather nice.

Then thinking of a 3 gauge DIN pod... Oil Temp, Water Temp and Oil Press. Any other suggestions?

Thanks in advance!
Mark

I think RotaryArts sell the central cowel/ steering column type pods, as well as a triple pod I think for the centre of the dash.

I went for Defis myself, very good gauges.

Found it on Rotary Art... Cheers for that! Is there a matt version? I\'m sure I\'ve seen it somewhere... :?

RE:Amemiya do one also, think it\'s carbon though.
Try Miguel at NeweraParts.com

I went for a boost gauge and pod on the A-pillar, and then a TriPower twin pod which replaces the central speaker, housing oil temp and pressure.
Using a Defi Link Display unit for water temp and others.

OK, seen that RE:Worx do one with a boost gauge, that come in at £200! But I think that looks more "stock" IYSWIM...

I\'m not a fan of the A Pillar gauges, I\'ve found on trackdays they really do get in the way (for me at least)... I\'d like no A pillars at all personally ;)

Thansk for the tips! Think I may go for the defi\'s... The link controller looks a good idea!

Been looking some more... I really need to do some work but, well, it\'s tuesday after all ;)

The Defi Link Display... How big is it? I don\'t suppose you have any pics of it fitted to your car? I\'d be interested to see how it fits as that seems like quite a nice idea to me.

Thanks again,
Mark
