Title: RX8 style rear lights for my RX7
Post by: UK Mazda RX7 on September 23, 2006, 11:26:35 PM
Sorry if this has been asked or answered anywhere else.

I drove over my mates how after getting hold of an RX7 last weekend to show him what all the fuss was about and the reason for spending another 12k on yet another car, took him for a spin and after he was pleasantly surprised and enlightened went into his place sat down with a bevy as you do picked up my mates max power mag and spotted an RX7 article quickly flicked through it and spotted the RX7 had RX8 stlye rear lights, the featured car was a late 99 just as mine is, ive had a look on the net and with no luck so far i want to know where i can get a pair of these RX8 style lights?? They are identical to geniuine RX8 lights except these RX7 ones have an extra light dome compared to RX8 rear lights. I will try and get a pic out of the mag to help for reference but if any one has these or knows where i can get them and also how easy they fit/install? i would be greatful as i want a pair of these beautys.

How quick and easy is the installation? Straight swap or is there any careful placement etc required? Also has anyone got a decent pic of these ive only seen a distant pic in maxpower they looked hot but i doesnt give me a great idea how good they look??

Where did you get hold of those LRP? Are they pretty much identical to the ones up for sale at neweraparts? cause like i said i only saw a distant picture of them in maxpower and they look hot, and yours look fantastic, just wondering if they are the same? I will try to get a picture out of maxpower just for reference sake.

BTW LRP you running with a standard spoiler? doesnt look like any stock rex spoiler i have seen, then again it might just be the angle that makes yours look different!

Neat trick is to wire in the outer brake lights as fogs when needed and avoid having one attached to the bumper :)
