Title: Oops. mixed up the coil leads - question
Post by: lanciachris on September 23, 2006, 01:33:09 PM
Thanks to a lovely assortment of ties and clips I had to remove both coil leads at the same time when replacing them and got myself mixed up.

Can someone take a look and say which of the coil goes to which terminal? the car is an 86 egi

Presently I have the left (looking from standing in front of the car facing it) coil connected to T, and the right to L

Also, ignition lead order - on the front rotor the l and t are reversed from those on the rear rotor? seems odd - or do the rotors spin in different directions?

perhaps a complete \'this terminal to this place\' layout would be in order :)

Trailing leads at the top - (T Coil is Nearest to bulkhead)
Leading leads at the bottom (L Coil is behind headlight)

Look on the Coil it says T or L  (The T coil on mine have
Blue leads)
Then put one from the T coil on the front plug and the 2nd on the rear plug,  and the L ones go on the bottom plugs
