My word. That was a great review the top gear people gave it, much to my surprise.
It did look a bit odd on track though.

Blimey what a blooming excellent review!!!!! but then I do remember he really did like the 3rd Gen RX7 even though he couldn\'t fit in one !
When they brought the Nissan on l thought NO please don\'t rate it against that as the same type of car but they still rated it excellently against our 8.
Mazda will be over the moon about tonight because it WILL sell more cars for them.

Thank you for the reminder. Quoth the Clarkson-" this car is sensational"................and......" of all the cars I have driven this year-this is the best!" Perhaps the club should grant him honorary membership! I am even prepared to take back some of the things that I have said about the Clarkson ( on second thoughts- that is going a bit too far)..........though he did echo my own doubts about the rear of the RX-8......a somewhat dynamic free-zone............unlike the front.
It was however distressing to witness him ragging the car around the circuit like a maniac-the car does not deserve that.
This feature tonight will have done the sales of the car no harm.

WOW! Wow! Wow! That was bleeding fantastic! I , personally, L*OV*E*D seeing it go round the track. I was jumping up and down and shouting in my lounge, I only wish it was ME driving!
My neighbours must think Ive finally gone over the edge.

Golly, Im so glad for Mazda, lets see RX-8s all over our roads. The more Rotaries, the better, I say.

that was one of the best top gears for ages. the rx8 looked very at home on his track. it looked like you could control whatever angle you want with the throttle

excelent review ... although Clarkson has obviously scared himself in the wet at some point ! :rollin although how you can hold that against a rwd car I do not know.
They either have no power and you have to really provoke it to misbehave or you have lots of power and a good chassis so its predictable when the invetitable happens (1st case mx5 2nd case 3rd gen rx7)

Apparently there\'s also a review on Fifth Gear tonight at 20:30 in case anyone didn\'t know.
Tiff is believed to like the 350Z unlike Jezza, so it may not be so favourable. But I very much doubt if it\'ll be slammed for anything other than MPG/emissions :)

Well Tiff liked it although did appear to give the nod to the nissan :rolleyes: although wasnt so much of a like for like comparison but still all good reviews & quite a nice graphic they had for the rotary :cool

sorry if slightly off topic but clive mentioned that clarkson like the 3rd gen aswell. But was wondering if anyone has a video clip of the said review would love to see it or any video review of a 3rd gen i have not seen one. Cheers all
