Possibly silly question, Are these able to be fitted without removing the 3 bolt alloy Rubber mount housing that bolts on to the sump,??should they be fitted as a pair?
Cheers Bob
Has anyone tried out a set of these? Would be very interested in some first hand feed backs :cheers
Bob,
Not a silly question at all. These mounts replace the rubber inserts on the 3 bolt alloy arm part. Depending on the year of your car this may be as simple as unbolting the old mount, and bolting this one on. It certainly will not be more complicated than drilling a hole and shaving a few MM of material off the poly mount itself.
All will become clear with the installation instructions...But i can confidently say with the correct tools it will take no longer than 1 hour from the time you remove the old mounts until the time these are fitted to the metal arms and ready to re-install.
And yes, they should be fitted as a pair.

These are coming from a US vendor. Here is a little feedback from a man who has tried them:
QuoteI just installed these today, after having them laying around for months. It was a great upgrade. My engine does not move at all when I rev it up. ALso, the vibration is minimal. Only the driver can feel it. You also only really feel it when you step on the gas. I actually like the vibration. It gives the car a race car like feel. SO, if you have heared anything about these mounts that Cody is selling to be too stiff. Those claims were made by babies. My buddy rode with me and said that he didn\'t even notice them. It only took us about 1 hour and 20 minutes to do the swap also. Great stuff Cody.
Whats the timeframe to get orders in?
The sooner the better, but ill give it two weeks from now for the first batch (which will include the price reduction if numbers are high enough)
So guys, orders must be in by Wednesday 4th!

Thanks for that Bob, the reason i asked is that if you have to remove the 3 bolt assembly (metal arms) off the sump, i believe it can lead to a difficult to cure oil leak!
if thats not so something else in thier favour!
cheers Bob
Sorry bob, i misunderstood you. In most cases YES you WILL need to remove the 3 bolts from the sump.
However, in my experience this does NOT lead to an oil leak. Sealing the sump up liquid gasket without these 3 bolts installed to the proper torque leads to an oil leak, as does removing the sump monkey fashion (hammer and screwdriver like)
You should be ok removing these 3 bolts after the sump sealer is set. I was!
Will probably be in for a set, don\'t get paid till the 28th though :(
Just so you know (as an incentive :)) New engine mounts from mazda are 192.72 +VAT Each from mazda.
I\'ll be interested
Put me down for a set. I\'ll pay you when you come up for the turbos if that\'s ok?
cheers,
Steve

no problem DS2k. A little update - mounts ordered on 5-7 day delivery from the US on Friday. Should be with you sometime next week all things permitting.
Great news :)
Thanks!
Any news on these?
Sorry buddy, i was going to update this thread this mroning but forgot - just got an email about your post so it reminded me :)
Havent received them yet. Im going to get in touch with my supplier today and will let you guys know. Sorry about the wait!
Ok, ive checked with my supplier - everything is done on his side, and has been since he sent the mounts out on the 11th. They didnt get sent out on the 10th in the end as the shippers were closed for "colombus day". They were sent on a 4-10 day service, so they should arrive with me today or tomorrow/Monday. Sorry i originally said 5-7 day, i don\'t know what planet i was on. I\'ve checked the tracking numbers and they are listed as "being with GB Customs"
I have signed up to get automatic email updates on their progress and will update here accordingly. In the mean time, here is the tracking link:

Sorry about the wait guys!
There are these aswell.

Hey, thanks for pointing those out to everyone who has already bought the mounts :P
Update guys, still nothing in the post due to the weekend - hopefully they should be arriving today. If they don\'t then you\'ll all get some money back as i will be refunded of shipping due to lateness- i\'ll share the wealth with you guys :P
P.s the mounts in that link don\'t come with the soft vibration reducing poly washer like mine do; those alone COST me £10 per set of mounts.
Still nothing yet guys...I can only apologise for the wait here, i don\'t know whats going on! The time for delivery expired yesterday so im going to chase this up after work and will let you all know how i get on.
-Carl
Seems like customs are taking their time. Perhaps they think they\'re explosive engine mounts or laced with charlie :Talking1
well they\'ve made it out of foreign customs, hopefully they will be here today!!! Fingers crossed >:o)
Ok, i receieved a letter today, i have to pay duty ffs. I will pay today, i should imagine that they will be with me tomorrow or monday.
What a joke!
OK, my housemate phoned me this morning and said he signed for a delivery. I believe i have the mounts waiting for me at home, if this is the case i should be able to get them off to you all this afternoon.
Ok, Literally just posted the mounts out on a next day special delivery for you all. Refs as follows:
Stephen Carter: ZU 5867 6390 2GB
David Shaw: ZU 5867 6389 3GB
Jonathan Fennel: ZU 5867 6388 0GB
Darran Jones: ZU 5867 6386 2GB
Rob Redkern: ZU 5867 6387 6GB
Hope you all like! Please accept my apologies for the wait and I hope you all love the mounts like i do :)
Note, there are no instructions with the mounts, i literally came home from work, picked them up, boxed them up in the post office car park and shipped them out. I wanted to get them to you ASAP. I\'ll write up some instructions over the weekend and post them up here - it really isnt hard, don\'t worry!
If you have any queries at all you can reach me on 07967 511 949. Thanks for your purchases.
-Carl
^ Thanks Carl, do I owe you anymore for freeing them from customs?
Thanks Carl, received them this morning. :Thumbs-up
I didn\'t realise they were going to be that big!
No DS2000, you don\'t. The customs thing is fine, you take that risk when importing stuff :)
Glad you like them darran.
Got mine yesterday too Carl. Thanks a lot.
Steve
No worries, ill get some instructions up soon...im bed ridden at the moment, very ill.
Thanks again Carl :)
All recieved, it was ammusing as the house name had fallen off the parcel, the postie said "its some sort of car bit, so we assumed it was for you" :) :D
LMFAO DS2k
Quality :) Glad it was received ok!
Thanks Carl :Thumbs-up
have been away for a couple of days, but they\'ve arrived, will be interested to read your install notes when your well enough and have time - no rush for me though as knowing what I\'m normally like it will be 6 months or so before i get round to it! Hope your feeling better soon!
Thanks again
Rob
Hi,
I have the instructions now - please send me an email at carl.newton@affiniti.com and ill forward them to you.
thanks!
Carl
so anyone have the pleasure of having these fitted yet?
Anybody fit em? cmon chaps, want some feedback so i can sell some more :)
Not yet, have you? Would be interested to know what you thought of them i.e. more vibration etc.
oh hell yeah ive had them on my car for ages! Just wanted to get some customer feedback though as obviously this is perceived to be "my product" so nobody will listen to my feedback.
I personally think they are GREAT. More vibration sure, but it doesnt really matter. You only notice the vibration between about 1200-1400rpms when moving slowly, so its only really on pullaway you notice it.
Apart from that great, they stiffen everything up massively. The main thing you notice is how much the gearstick doesnt move any more when you come off and on the throttle.
They are also great for drifting - i like to use the clutch kick in the wet, and the stiffness of these mounts really helps to get the rear sliding.
If numbers are enough i could get some more of these, 5 sets should do it. Put your name down on the list if your interested.

Hi, Whats your new e-mail address Carl. I\'m trying to get in touch.
Regards,
Jon
Anyone actually fitted this as yet(besides Carl of course)?
Whats the results.... Difficult fitting(what models you have) and Driving and comfort with the \'vibrations\' etc...?
sorry guys, i have a new job now!
you can get me at carl.newton@intact-is.com now.
Give me a shout if you want some more.
And Trex - fitting is not that difficult. You need to do some shaving, cutting, bolting and thats about it. Driving comfort is good, with some vibrations at low RPM (1-2kish)
I havent used the little black washers you guys have though as i really like the exaggerated vibrations so mine are effectively race spec solid mounts rather than toned down race mounts like you guys have.
Thanks Carl, I just wanted to here from the other chaps really as (no offence) they may be more \'unbias\'... ;)
So come on guys, there were at least 6 of you recently got these ones in particular... someone must have tried them already!
sorry not yet :Snoring
although i have just rented a garage where i can work on the car at last, so hopefully i might get round to this soon :mmmm
Found out my existing engine mounts are fine so I won\'t be putting them on yet. Sorry.
Bored today so I\'ve done an idiot\'s guide for these \'Poly Bush Engine Mount\' swap from the original as no one somehow seems interested.....
Enjoy...

Well done Trex, Thanks for that, think i can manage to do the job,
Cheers Bob
Excellent work TREX!
i like it :) Thanks dude!
So how do you get the mounts off the chassis and engine? Is that part easy? I\'m tempted by these as it also seems pretty cheap really but not sure if I fancy attacking the small confines of a FD engine bay ;)
Has anyone fitted these yet? my engine mounts are gone, would very much like some feed back on these :)
