Title: Group buy on engine mounts - am i allowed?
Post by: Bobfish on September 18, 2006, 09:30:42 PM
Guys,

I have a found a good source to get some Poly engine mounts made up. I will have unlimited supply and prices will be in the region of about £70 for both mounts.

Am i allowed to initiate a group buy on here? I know there are some rules and im not sure if this is allowed here?

Thanks guys

Bob

If you are personally not making a profit from it I don\'t see why not. Will wait and see what the other comments are first though.I know Other forums have had problems with group buys eg. if they fall through, people loose contact with those who have paid, items end up costing more than originally planned, people drop out etc. etc. is a potential mine field :)

Might take 2 weeks or so before admin get wind of it !!:rollin :guinness Group buys are great......get your people to deposit money (keep money safe).....order stuff...pay vendour.... and send goods on ....keep it simple and between the buyers.:cheers

Morning Guys,

Personally I have no problem unless we have any official MRC Vendors who object as we have had in the past , or we then find that a member is doing this as a prelude to setting up his own business on the quiet, but as I think no other Vendors sell these I can\'t see a problem.

Couple of things though, obviously the club cannot be held responsible for any money problems that may arise from any group buy or any quality etc issues.

Back to the bushes as Shy I looked into making these buses as we have supplied poly ones for the diff but we instead had solid ones made because for the poly ones to work properly you need a stud coming out of each side of the mount to allow the mount to move because if you bolt it straight through A, its the same as a solid mount and B, it can walk around because the bolt will never be fully tight.

Huge apologies if you have already taken this into account.

I could be interested as well, I\'d like to see some photos of the mounts first and know whether they are inserts (like the ES ones I\'ve used in the past) or complete new mounts :)

Thanks

Dave
