I\'ve just managed to gip the end of one of the OMP lines whilst putting every thing back on a Motor i\'ve just rebuilt.
After doing a bit of looking round for some i\'ve noticed there are Aftermarket Braided lines, Are these any good?
Being typical timing (Sat afternoon) every where is shut so i have no idea what new OE lines cost, if there not much i may go that route as it would be quicker.
I realy don\'t want to repair the Pipe becouse its realy hard and Brital if i repair it then i can garantee it will spit on the car and i\'d have to pull the Rats nest off :( same thing goes for the After market ones, are they tried and tested?
O yeh, its an FD if that makes any diffrence.
Hi Chris,
I saw the stainless ones but i dont know if they are any good. I seem to remember a figure of about £60 for a set of stock lines.
From experience i wouldnt repair. I tried that on my FD but it leaked and caused the front rotor to fail.
That was by supergluing the 2 ends together inside a small rubber hose....
grizzly, which braided lines have you been looking at as the rotor sports ones work out to £55 + delivery. ive been looking at them and was wondering if they are any good.
matt
I\'ve been looking at these http://www.rx7store.net/category_s/85.htm
But i think i\'ll be using std ones from Mazda becouse i have a Time issue and the motor is still running twins so space is a bit tight too.
As always after thinking about it and doing a bit of reading up i\'m going to get a set of Braided hoses.
I\'ve just seen this and it looks realy Tidy. http://www.rx7club.com/showthread.php?t=578713&highlight=omp+lines
So i have E-mailed RP for a Price on shipping but it looks like its going to be about £60 all in, i just hope they have a good turn around.
I like the look of that, have you got any pics of the stock lines for comparison?
Sorry my Cam int charged.
I can tell you this much it would be a pain in the rear to change them in the car, defo some thing thats done with the rebuild.
