Title: Lights
Post by: Steve Burnett on November 21, 2003, 06:27:58 PM
Just wondering if someone can tell me what lights is there on the dash. Can some one take a picture for me? I also think there is a buzzer for when the door is open and the lights are on and also a buzzer for when the seat belt is not on. Is this right?

Cheers
Steve

Pict attached, sorry for the quality, but it is a little dark out at the moment ;)

There is a buzzer for leaving the lights on, not sure about the one for the seatbelt - never tried.

Hopefully the captions are self explanatory for the lights, if not let me know.

theres a two tone buzzer if you have your door open with the lights on, but i dont *think* theres one for the seat belts, there is a temporary light for seat belts i think (or i may have dreamt that) but pretty sure there isnt a buzzer. maybe on the 96-99 ones there is!

Can anyone tell me where the \'Check Engine\' light is on the picture?
I was told to pull the ECU codes but don\'t know what light to look for.

i thought pulling ecu codes involved a rotary mechanic plugging something in and getting a readout of error codes? i would like 2 know this too as im a bit unclear

Will tell you how to pull the codes and what they mean. You just jump two pins in the Diagnostic box in the engine bay. I just don\'t know what light to look for.

Just to confirm there is no buzzer if you don\'t put your seatbelt on - gave it a try today :)

Hi,

Mine (\'93 Type R) has a warning tone when you first turn on the ignition which I assume is a reminder for the seatbelts. Doesn\'t stay on very long anyway (I think I\'ve tested that...), but doesn\'t come on at all if you belt up first...

Mine beeps at loads of stuff and is far too much for me to work out what it is moaning about so I ignore them all.

Keep leaving the car sidelights on though.

Hmmm!

LOL, sounds familiar :D  Did that at TOTB, JAE, Trax... even came back out of a BK returning from one of the events this year to find I\'d left the drivers window down :o  If it only beeped for important reasons I feel it would be somewhat more useful :D
