I very much doubt anyone is going to insure an 18 year old on a group 20 car to be honest. Even if you got a quote it would be silly like 5k.

i was 20 with no NCB when first insured my rex about 6 months ago  but i was paying silly money (now 21 with 1 yr NCB)- just had to change my insurance as they wouldnt allow me to go single turbo etc.  which is a little cheaper but lets face it, it is still STUPID money.  most places will just say no way.
p.s make sure you can really afford a Rx7 as no jokes they are the most expensive car in the world to run.......i promise.

He\'s right there a a pain to run as there really not cheep, whats your driving history have you had any experiance drving high power rear wheel drive cars, not trying to be a pain but the rx is  a handfull and is not a wise choice for a first car.

You should think about a less powerfull rwd car to begin with...dont just jump in because you can think you can afford it specially since its only your 2nd car. Build up a little experience of rwd first...Everything is expensive when it comes to these...maintanence is also very expensive, fuel will kill you &the insurance will be sky high...trust me i know :)

yes, prob it will still be alot like mine was.  have you got any accidents cause i did/do.  for someone like adrian flux they ask you how long you have owned the car (i guess showing that you are used to driving it etc  so if you buy it a few months before you plan to drive/insure it.  then that might help.)
