I\'ve notice that my first boost is up till 12 lbs to 13 then when it hit 4 to 5 thousand RPM it drops a significantly to 5lbs or 4 lbs. then it\'ll fluctuate around there untill redline... Happens on all gears.. What could cause my car to run like this??
Because sometimes time after time, boost will come regular just like normal, pattern 13, 10, 12.....(NORMAL))
But now, when boost pass 4k to 5k RPM it\'ll drop to 5lbs and fluctuate around there till redline....
I\'m thinking it\'s the top end secondary turbo.. or just a hose.. Hoping just a hose!!
Thinking about doing a vacuum hose, seloinoid hose job.
Have any of you guys bought anything from //www.hosetechniques.com..????
Are there hose any better??
Thanks
sorry posted on wrong place
I had EXACTLY the same problem last night, pulled over and found one of the vacuum line s had come off the (I believe) vacuum chamber box, the pipe must have got brittle and slipped off so I replaced quite a few vacuum lines while I was there with some high temp silicon samco stuff. The vacuum chamber is a small box under the strut brace in the middle. The strut brace will have to come off to gain access, anyway check this and all other vacuum lines. its prob one of those vacuum lines.

I\'ve been thinking about replacing some of the rats nest hoses on mine - where did you get the Samco from, what size do you need, and how much do you need? Any other tips on replacing this stuff?
Help much appreciated.

Its definitely worth doing, i ordered my hoses from a company called //www.raldes.co.uk Tel: 01795531871 they are pretty good.
They have any size you want different bores and stuff.. i cant remember the exact one i bought but i think it was something like 6mm think and 2mm bore? You want the hose on the nipple quite tight and the bore to be fairly thick as you don’t want the hoses to collapse in the heat.
They do blue and red colours.
I got something like 6 meters just to be safe in case I ever needed some again. You will be shocked on how may brittle vacuum hoses you will find.
As for tips hmmmmm…… good one would be wait till the engine is cool ! LOL! ;)
I didn’t ! and i burnt my fingers! :(

That\'s great. Thanks for that. I\'ll certainly give it a go when I have some time!

The best stuff for the job is Viton hose, made by Dupont.
It looks very similar to the stock rubber, but is very much more resistant to heat and chemical attack - far more so than silicon hosing.
It is pricey, but well worth it.
Don\'t know where to source it. I get mine through RE-Worx.
