Title: New Rims and designer rubber baby!
Post by: framey on September 09, 2006, 06:23:15 PM
Just got fitted out with new (2nd hand) rims and new Vredestein Ultrac\'s - designed by Giugiaro!! How chuffed am I? Who cares if the tyres don\'t grip worth a Sh!t - as long as they look cool - yeah baby yeah!

Also fitted a exhaust I got off Jake from this forum. Thanks Jake the exhaust sounds awesome! Tanabe me thinks.

So, will soon have my BBS LM\'s for sale after I get them refurbed.
Anyway pics.........

??????? As Pete implied. Tyre grip is the most fundamental thing of all re. car performance and safety. So assume (hope) you were being a little sarcastic here!!!!????

dont flame me for this but i think the bbs`s are nicer looking on the rex, also you never see a chavy corsa or nova running them. imo

personal choice though. so good luck with the sale dude

Looking good although I have to say that I prefer the BBS LM\'s, Tanabe was my guess with the exhaust as well, glad you like it.

harris2182 mate no worries.

If we all liked the same things all our cars wouldn\'t be individual. It\'s a look I\'ve been after for a while and am totally happy with it. Externally, just deciding on wether to fit another spoiler I got, which I KNOW a lot of you have dissed on certain other cars, then I\'ll be content.

As I say, to each his own.

Best regards

For a pure class, simple clean cut look you cant beat five spokes. They are top mate!

Why, thank you!!

I have just bought a set of chrome RX8 wheels. Getting a bit scared that they might be a bit bling, but we will soon find out!

As I say, to each his own.

I\'m guessing you\'ve had a Corsa or a Nova in the past...or maybe a white Escort? The carbon fibre exhaust guard gives it away...

Like you said, each to their own :bandit I\'d prefer the BBS LM\'s too :WaveBye

Oh come on everyone - if you can\'t be constructive, then buy a skyline and wander over there!! *grin*  This is a nice forum for nice people.

Framey - if you like you\'re wheels and tyres, then enjoy it and I do happen to find the BBS\'s too busy, and I prefer cleaner lines, so *to me* that looks ace.

sorry, everyone, I was only poking fun...hope no-one was offended...each to their own...if you post your car up asking for opinions you\'re going to get a few replies...

...you\'d probably think my car was positively boring in comparison, hardly unique...but that\'s not my approach. Some people modify cars to be unique, some people prefer to be understated. It would be boring if they were all the same. Just not my taste..that\'s all.

Cheers bish.
This thread was dead and buried ages ago as far as I was concerned!

Fairs\'nuf re the wheels but nova\'s and corsa\'s?? - well that\'s just plain nasty!!!

I would like to state fo the record  - never!!!

I appreciate that Andy, but I just don\'t see a need for it.  I\'d rather not reply to stuff I don\'t particulary like (and there are things I reallllllly don\'t like seeing done to a 7), than throw a negative in.  How does this work - the poster comes across like a whinger, the person who\'s car it is gets offended, and I end up coming across like some holier-than-thou hissy fit ponce!  which i am, but that\'s not the point!! :D

Framey - now worries dude, my last car before the 7 was a volvo 480 turbo, so make of that what you will!!

You started it, and then took that out of context, you stinker!  You know fully well that I was talking about unprovoked negative criticism about work that someone has had done to their car.  Now unless you have something nice to type, shush!  It\'s not good karma for me to keep having to show you up.

Tis true.  And although it\'s been sitting for 18 months, I just can\'t bring myself to part with it...  L\'Marv was it\'s name, and it was alright.  Probably not appropriate training for a RWD sportscar...

Well I like your new rims matey, they\'re just different to what everyone\'s used to seeing on FDs... But hey I can\'t talk my other car\'s a marina blue beetle running 60\'s porsche rims which i hand polished!

Like they say each to their own :Thumbs-up

Anyways send me some better pics of the LM\'s when you sort them...

I used to have some on my mx5 , but that was about 5 years ago.
Nice rims and well made but not really where car styling is today.
I prefer the bbs rims.
