i want
oil temp, oil pressure
water temp, fuel pressure
however i dont want four gauges as it it too many for me, so i am going to get dual gauges.
who thinks what (mechanical) analogue, or digital?

i do really like the look of the SPA digital as they are so neat and look sexy but then you have to know the right sort of temps/pressures of by heart, where as analogue you can use markers if you wanted and you can just generally see where the needle is etc
I like the look of both mate, but i would go with old skool;) can beat a bit of mechanical workings to keep an eye on things, always less to go wrong:2Confused
SPA digital all the way...had them in my teg, were brilliant
the SPA are surpose to be pretty acurate etc, and they do look so good. but if something bad did happen (an oil pipe burst) you would more likely notice out of the corner of your eye, the gauge suddenly dramatically changing etc. well that is what pip recons as it once happened to him.
There are a couple of dual gauges on here

Now they are nicer!!:Tongue1
the digis are grate, they also have alarm lights which come on when a low level/pressure sensor is triggered, also as i understand you can make them flash alarm at pressure/temp limits. oh and you wouldn\'t miss the alarm my dad had them on track bike.
that said a do like the dule analogue a lot more.
matt
Analogue has to be better than digital where readings are changing rapidly because you receive the information in an easier to digest way. The rate of movement and physical position of a needle is more helpful than rapidly scrolling numbers. That goes for boost gauges and speedos in particular. Digital is good for more static measurements such as weight and temperature. How many people still wear digital watches? Once we got beyond the novelty of the technology we realised that analogue watches are just as good and look more attractive too. In contrast, a digital stopwatch is to be prefered because once stopped, the digits can be read more accurately than would be the case with analogue....So, horses for courses.
I have the SPA gauges myself and they are one of the best investments I have made.

Wheres the best place to buy spa gauges ?????
Shaun
demon tweaks is the easiest, prob not cheapest though
I got mine direct from SPA, but then again there was 20 of us buying at the time.

Spa is the same price as demon tweeks give or take a pound ! Plus I\'ve seen them fitted in the stock gauge positions in the dash !

I used to have a set of these on my old car, can\'t fault them.
Another option would be to fit a Microtech/PFC and have the hand control.
It is rather risky to have a fuel pressure guage inside the car as effectively do you have a fuel pipe entering the cockpit area that can come loose, especially in an accident.

hmmmmm.. looks like a lot of work
can some one that has had the SPA tell me, that are they all pull of conections in the back of the gauge.
eg. if i put them into a pod on the dash that is not painted yet are they going to be easy to disconect to get the pod painted, and then simply plug back in. or is it a case of disconecting things in the engine bay and feeding it back through. (like the race tech gauges)
i still havent decided which to go for digital or analogue, and i need to order them tomorrow. any one elses views would be very much appreciated
anyone that has had them one2watch, Fish any chance of an answer to above post as really need to order them today.
Hi
Definitely prefer the mechanical gauges, I had 2 gauges (white) fitted recently by reworks (water and oil pressure) and absolutely love the look of them despite getting them from //www.gaugeshop.co.uk (J3 Autosport gauges)
