OK Guys,
I have my 3rd Gen, original spec in near mint condition with only 40K on the dial. It\'s been reliable so far (other threads noted) and now i\'m ready for fun.
Couple of questions for the petrol-heads out there:
1: my rex is sadly an auto which drives very well but i do prefer to stir the stick - anyone ever swapped from auto to manual? if so, how difficult is it (note i don\'t ask how easy!!!) and what are the alternatives for gearboxes to transplant?
2: at the moment i plan to run with the twins (maybe go free and single later). i currently have an Apexi twin cat back exhaust system but standard induction set-up. what can i expect / hope for from the twins and how do i get it. boost guage tells me they tend to boost at 0.7-0.8 bar at the mo.
Hi matey,
to your first question Bish on here has recently changed his rx from Auto to Manual so might be able to answer your question me thinks :Thumbs-up
Not sure exacty what you mean by your second question but power wise twins can run comfortably up to 350bhp @ flywheel, you can go over this figure but the important word is comfortably boosting at say 1 bar, another option is to go non-sequential so you get a boost similar to a single turbo but with both twins kicking in at the same time. One member ran 12.9 1/4 mile running non-sequential setup.
Gurj

Mikey,
still interested in the ramp but am on call all weekend (hence the 11pm surfing on a saturday night - sad git)
will try and pop in on my way home one night this week but may not be for a short while - 4th birthday party next w/e
certainly need to change the oil and probably the coolant system ready for the cooler weather (it\'s never actually cold in Scotland, you know!)
speak soon

Thanks, Gurj
will look out for Bish and see how scarred he is from the changeover
as for the turbos, time (and money) will tell - thanks for the info
