Title: Cold air temps sensor...
Post by: Laeeq on September 01, 2006, 11:34:44 AM
Firstly, can i thank Jonathan here to supply me with this great find...

Installed mine yesterday and you can see the temps droped while on the move quicker then the stock sensor.  It basically sits in stock thread with plug and play.

The difference was clear as i did some tests as told by John e.g put the old sensor in hot water for few seconds and see the air temps rise on your pfc and hold at the highest point then take it out and let it sit outside and see again on pfc; how quickly the temps drop.

I then wired the new sensor on and put in hot water again with an eye on the pfc and it held the temps at highest level (same as stock) and soon as i took it out the temps started to drop much quicker then the stock.

So,  then the real test was done while on the move and stopped.  It works fine and reacts much quicker then the stock and once the WI kicked in; the air temps dropped dramatically.:2eek

More tests to come till i get new sets of NGK plugs with high and low boost setting.

I was only talking about doing this last night.  Good to read your findings - will be interested to see how much the WI helps too :Thumbs-up
