Title: What\'s a fuel pulsation dampner?
Post by: probedb on August 30, 2006, 03:50:03 PM
Just looking around for stuff I want to do when I rebuild the engine and have seen these mentioned as being good to replace at the same time? They\'re a bit pricey tho, what are they for?

they are essenitally a diaphragm which damps the strong fuel pulses being delivered to the injectors...
apparent they split and leak fuel which can cause engine fires...

apparently they can be eliminated but im not 100% on this
