Hi Peeps,

Alittle unsure as to what colour i should paint the brake calipers, a mate has done his Golf GTI\'s in bright red with the car being blue with silver alloys and they actually look really good.

I am playing with the thought of a few colours so please vote on which one you think would be the best fitting ???

My initial thoughts were Yellow so they stand out against the gold wheels, surely i could end up with too much gold ?????? :Hammer

The caliper is a small wedge of metal...with your great car colour and wheels, anything too different will distract the eye.:Thumbs-up

I agree, gold is best with your colours.

Not think the red would go with the purple and gold.

Depends how you want them to stand out, you could always go purple and make the mazda lettering gold?

black with white writing, they are standard brake calipers dont want them sticking out too much.

I think RED would deffo be too loud for the colour complexities of me car, i\'m starting to think blue with gold lettering ????

Only the front brakes have lettering anyway, what you think ?? :King

I like the Idea of them being purple with gold writing.

Other than that, gold with purple?

I was going to do mine gloss black with bright white lettering as I think that suits the red car\'s.

Ask if someone would Photoshop a few pictures for you mate with the different colours so you can see how the look :D

As its only a small job to do its not important to get it photo-shopped, also i can do the painting without taking the wheels off as have enough room so once the first one is done can step back and see the colour mix of it all :cool

I\'d take your wheel off anyway mate. 2 second job and you\'ll find it so much easier to get around the caliper that way. Also turn your wheel to full lock so the caliper sticks out a little, that way you\'ll be able to get at it even better.
Wouldn\'t want to ge paint on your new alloys would you :)

put some effort in and take them off and polish them thats what im thinking of doing as there alloy i belive

You really should take them off anyway to make sure you\'ve cleaned the calipers properly, otherwise you risk the paint flaking off :( Personally, I\'d go for black with silver lettering; the car looks so good as it is you don\'t want to distract from it :)

Still hven\'t decided yet, will be going to get the paint on monday so will see what they have there to begin with ?? :Giggle

Still not done the brake calipers as really cant make my mind up on the colouring, playing with the thought of blue with the writing in gold ???
