Is there any way of determining the model type of the car (\'92 import) from the VIN no. The reason i ask is that my Insurance Co. has asked for a copy of the Log look to do just this
Mazda might be able to tell you, if not there should be 2 white stickers in the door shut telling you the model etc?
Dave :)
Cheers Dave, i\'ll have a look...
Might be difficult though cos aint it in japaneese?
Just looked at mine, only sticker i have tells me what the tyre size is suppose to be. =/ dont think i\'ll ever know the type mine is.
There is only one sticker on the door shut, saying what the tyre pressures are....
There is a label on the seatbelt showing that is is a \'92.
It has 2 oil coolers (the manual shows only 1...)
Confused
Think i\'ll give Mazda a ring unless anyone else has got any other ideas...
Cheers
Johnny
tell tail signs of your car being a type r is 2 oil cooler s, type r strut brace, and no cruise control.....
is there not a sticker on the underneath of the bonnet, look up at the bonnet when it is up.
Shaq
It does have a sticker under the bonnet, but it is Heiroglyphics or something :D .
The car does have 2 oil coolers, front and rear strut braces (factory) & no cruise control.
Are the type R good?
Cheers
Johnny
Nah, they are crap.
What?
Sorry - couldn\'t help it. They are loverly.
hmm i replied to this yesterdyand now it\'s gone :(
i\'ll try again...
ok mine has the strut braces and no cruise control so thats 2 out of 3, i\'m not to sure what what under the bonnet so where would i find the oil coolers?
i\'ll check back later.
Ehh these repsonses were here earlier.
Anyway, to find the oil coolers look in the two holes under the front indicators. If there is one either side its a Type R.
Cheers
Lee
