Title: sourcing parts? Engine mounts
Post by: Bobfish on August 23, 2006, 07:06:04 PM
Guys,

I\'ve been browsing around the various rotary dealers and cannot seem to find anyone offering uprated engine mounts. Can anyone point me in the right direction? one of mine has split and i dont want to replace it with expensive mazda OEM, id rather go for an uprated jobby.

Also, ive been running with EBC red stuff pads, and loved them on the FD - but they now need replacing. Has anyone experience of a good pad for fast road use? There really is NOTHING Wrong with the red stuffs, i was just wondering if its worth trying something new?

cheers

bob

this what they are

Engine Mounts

Mounts install in place stock rubber engine mounts.  Feature an Aluminum core incased in UHMW.  Fully threaded rod extends all the way through the mount so that mount breakage is eliminated.  Mounts produce more vibration than stock, but not as much as solid metal mounts.   Includes new hardware.

I believe I\'ve got one, it\'s almost new!  It\'s also the newer uprated original Mazda mount type!

Not sure what side it is though, Bought a new pair and ended up only changing one, I\'ll have a check to see which side it is....
