Title: Racelogic TCS + digi adjuster
Post by: Devil\'s Refugee on August 22, 2006, 04:34:03 PM
Is this available from Racelogic for the Rex ?
Not apparent from the website what options can be taken for a rotary.

Anyone with experience of them ?

I did some research into this, the Race Logic control box works in between the ECU and Injectors, cutting fuel on alternate cycles when the ABS sensors pick up wheel slip.  Effectively this is doing fuel cut, which is not the best idea for a Rotary engine! :spank

If you don\'t have ABS, it can still be made to work using a hall effect wheel sensor, you need at least 5 studs on the hub to detect an differential between wheels.

Not too sure if you can use ignition cut instead of fuel cut, it should be feasable, but then you will get pops and bangs !

Race logic is available with a few options (One being launch control!). 2 options for how it cut\'s power.

First is the fuel cut (as there is nothing to explode then I wouldn\'t have thought det can therefore occur- please correct if wrong)

The second is to cut the spark which makes a few more pops and bang\'s with the fuel getting burn\'t in the exhaust.

Havn\'t seen it yet on a rotary but I have been out in an MR2 with it on and I have to say it was totally awesome & a fantasticly underrated piece of kit.  Could save many of those oops oil, man hole cover, drain, white paint moments from turning bad!
