Title: Coolant alarm on fresh engine
Post by: nikp on August 18, 2006, 06:30:57 PM
Ok,

I have finally got everything in the engine, all electrics connected, everything connected everywhere else, oil, coolant, fingers crossed. Even the battery is charged and in! :p

I turn the ignition on to check ECU, and switchs, sensors and output, all looks good, but the coolant alarm is going off! I know i have the low coolant level sensor plugged into the correct wire as i had to put a new one on a while back, so that was easy to spot, sensor is brand new too. So what\'s going on? I\'m a bit reluctant to start the car with the coolant alarm going off, even though i know there\'s enough coolant in it (Unplugged the cable from the box making the noise for now).

Can anyone point me in the right direction....pleeeeeaaaaassse! :)

Have you got the right plugs connected near the back of the p/s pump?

Does that make a difference?

What plugs can i mix up? There\'s temp sensor, oil pressure, power steering and air con! How many of those can i get muddled up?

You have proberly mixed up the air-con and the water level spade connectors. Connect them properly and the buzzer will go off.
