put new temp gauge sensor in still not working(mmm)
so said stuff it lets get it emissions tested.
took it for a niec little run came back stuck the machine in it and this is what it came up with...
co:limits <=3.500% actual 8.349%
hc limits <=1200 ppm actual 2871ppm
id say its bollocks then would`nt you??????
awaiting to speak to pip see if he has an idea(bet it involves money lol)
then again maybe not lol
looks like i need a airpump(siezed)and then see if it works from there as it might be alot more involved if its been siezed for a while

Sounds normal to me mate, its not a piston engine.
was abit of blue smoke coming out but as i was told its down to the airpump not working,not enough air getting pushed through the turbo`s on tic over.
I have a spare air pump if you want it for diagnosis? its been off the car for a while, but should still work.
Need to find it tho.....
let me know if your interested.

The air supply from the pump doesn\'t go anywhere near the turbos, it feeds the cat below about 2000rpm via the Air Control Valve (ACV). Aren\'t you running de-cat with a stock ECU? That might account for the high emmissions.

Hey mikeyh
As Millspeed said the Airpump feeds air into the cat at lower revs to help with emmissions, if you are running with a decat it serves no purpose. Try having the injectors cleaned and a new fuel filter, I have this problem every year at MOT time and that always sorts it.
