Title: Dodgy FD central locking
Post by: CJay on August 15, 2006, 01:12:47 PM
My passenger door doesn\'t operate with central locking, I would guess that the actuator needs replacing. Anyone know if this is a big or awkward job? Can you just pick up a motor from the likes of Maplins (http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=12304&doy=15m8&C=SEO&U=strat15) and fit that rather than an OEM part. I trecently had a Clifford alarm installed and the installer couldn\'t get remorte central locking to work on the passenger side.

If it has never worked while you had the car its possible that its not got it in that door ie: its an older "type R" door....
