Post by: Ben_L on August 15, 2006, 12:11:02 PM
Hi guys,

Thought i would post up a few pics of our project FD

A bit contraversal on here being she isn\'t Rotary powered but YB. Just a bit of fun and to do something no one has done before. Not much difference in weight of engines.

Cool Wide body Kazama auto kit and Weds Sports wheels. Serious shell prep and cage build up. The idea has been a build for drift.

Looks like you picked the wrong tick box on the order sheet when ordering the engine from ford group ;) Nice looking car apart from the boinger monstrosity. Ben what sort of box are you using?

Good luck with it, im sure it will be an awesome weapon.

Speak with Stu @ MSD Developments in Blackpool and get rid of that Dizzy

i ran his dizzyless setup on my old saph and it makes such a difference especially with a blower that size.

Looks top

i just ditched the old cosworth tho and now ppl are putting YBs in RX7s lol

seems the YB still cuts it

That looks to be a proper bit of kit.  Seems a shame to use it for just drifting when you have such a nice paint job.

i considered putting a cossy lump in my first gen many years ago. I know some guys who are cossy specialists but then i learnt to rebuild my own rotaries.

Having tried drifting in my Rx with a failry small turbo i can see why you would stick a YB in there.  Soooo much more torque low down than a rex.

what turbo is that out of interest?

I\'d hazard a guess at GT35, probably a 550+ YB :cool
