Title: How to remove speedo convertor \\ delimiter?
Post by: CJay on August 15, 2006, 11:14:55 AM
I want to remove the speedo convertor \\ delimiter, can anyone tell me where they\'re usually fitted? (I\'m assuming behind the instrument binnacle)?

We now use KPH in Ireland and I\'ll be getting a PFC fitted soon which will address the Jap speed restriction but the main reason is the conversion wasn\'t done properly (some crowd in Liverpool port :Grrr ) - the odometer value wasn\'t changed over and its clocking up in miles ON TOP OF the KM value!

Remove the instrument binnacle (3 screws to remove the steering wheel cowling and then one on the bottom left of the instrument binnacle, then pull the hood forwards and it pops out)

There will be a large white multiplug that goes to the center of the instrument panel. Looking head on at the plug the 2nd from top wire on the left should be spliced into by a the convertor chip. Remove this and rejoin the original wires and also remove the live and earth feeds going to the chip (the might come from the back of the oil pressure guage)
